I have always said, if anyone wants to learn something, there is over a million sermons here on SA from a variety of sources, some of them even going back centuries. Go there if you want to learn, not the forums where there is nothing but debate and people hurling insults.

observation. john, I truly believe you thrive on conflict and controversy. Arguing and striving is just a sport to you and you're good at it. it's like an addiction with you, so i'll leave you to your endless debates and pointless ongoing disputations with those whom you regard as your brothers. far be it for me to interrupt your social club, though in most fraternal associations, members viewed as trouble makers or disturbers of the peace are generally asked to leave? in a church setting they are disciplined.
wise counsel from bo The only movement known to me that bickers and separates over such small matters are the strict brethren. You might find it a good fit for you. Ironically, added benefit for you is that they're rather lax on discipline - they have to be to survive in their little bubble.
john, if you can so cavalierly set aside your differences here, as you have with those you so vigorously strove with in recent days, then it would seem you would be quite comfortable attending their church? Are they not after all your brothers? so why all the fuss? why do you persist in stirring up trouble and fomenting strife amongst your brethren? But as others at this forum have pointed out, if you joined a church, as a member, you would be under church discipline and unarguably under censure for saying the very things you have said here. you have not repented. which begs the question john, why haven't YOU been shamed by your brothers for sowing division amongst the brethren. when others are? why are you exempt? why do you get a free pass? that is truly shameful.
observation. something very strange going on here. john is the one whom these SA posters were so incensed against at that other now closed SA thread. yet less than 24 hours later he's engaging with them as though nothing happened. no apology for sowing division amongst the brethren was given. yet once again john is enjoying their camaraderie camaraderie defined: mutual trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together. Instead of rallying around bo they rally around john? ? ? truly mystifying.
john, observation. bo unarguably has more in common with the SA posters here. Bo has a church, as do the others you frequently engage with here at SA. but by your own admission, you have no church. that makes you the odd man out john. which begs question. where is the support for bo?
are you not ever striving with those whom you call brothers? one does get the sense that you need the approval and approbation of those with whom you relentlessly contend at SA? or perhaps you simply enjoy sparing with them? is this just a sport with you? is SA just a place to engage others in endless debate which at the end of the day has no substance?
john, this turnabout of yours is truly stunning or perhaps mystifying is a better word. which begs the question. you said "But I don't have a church. Well, I don't think I do." so where do you stand? would you be comfortable attending the church of your SA brothers? BO hasn't backed off. is he now being ostracized / sidelined by your brothers? why isn't anyone talking to him? is BO now on the outs with them? hard to keep up. strange turn of events.
noticed your back in the good graces of your brothers, the ones with whom you were at variance just days ago, the ones who treated you so harshly. where are the 3 women that sided with you on that other thread? are you distancing yourself from them? are you shunning them? what was all that protesting about anyway on that other matter? James 1:8 comes to mind. at least BO is consistent.
Great Sermon! There is so much here, you've got to hear it. Lydia was not "Lydia's" real name! God opens hearts it's a miracle of love and grace. It's all of God and nothing of us.
Great Sermon! Good to get the background on this event or else we get the wrong idea. So I'm grateful for this short eight minute explanation of what was really going on.
Great Sermon! With so many Christians being persecuted right now, more than any other time in history, this sermon is a great encouragement. He stands for us!
Great Sermon! Great fear is right, this sermon brought back to me the need to be careful what I do and say. Great grace indeed that I'm still alive. Our God is so great in mercy.
Adoption! I was very surprised to realize how ignorant I am on the subject of our adoption by God. What is the difference between our justification and adoption. This lesson is quite informative. Many good things discussed, fear of death and our freedom in Christ to name a couple.
