Hypocrisy, hypocrisy and more hypocrisy. You've been telling these people they are born depraved for 500 years, you then have the effrontery to criticize their depraved behaviour. If you told them the truth: that they are born innocent, that they descend into wickedness through a progression of evil, you might not look so idiotic.
Because that which may be know of God is MANIFEST IN THEM (moral conscience); for God hath shown it unto them (Romans 1:19).
That was the true light that LIGHTETH EVERY MAN THAT COMETH INTO THE WORLD (John 1:9).
Go back and look at the history books, see what the gnostics taught and you will see you teach the exact same thing. Then use your brain cells to work out that your precious proof scriptures don't teach what you think they do. Then maybe you'll actually get somewhere instead of clucking round in useless circles.
Maybe it's because they rightly see Evangelical Christianity for what it is: a colossal joke, full of hypocrisy and double standards. And of course theology, endless theology - theology, theology, theology and more theology. Convoluted doctrines of men and demons designed to replace the simple message of the gospel: repentance and faith proven by deeds. Original Sin, Imputed Righteousness, Eternal Security, Calvinism, Arminianism, Lutheranism, Wesleyanism, Penal Substitution, Faith Alone, Not-of-Works, Reformed Theology, doctrines of inability. On and on and on and on and on. All false doctrine either gives man an excuse for his sins (I was born defective so it's not my fault, blah, blah, blah) or an alternative to obedience (I'm eternally secure so temptation is meaningless, blah, blah, blah). This is the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees, which might sound groovy now but it's not going to wash at the judgment. You can't pull the wool over God's eyes, and no lie or any who loveth and maketh a lie will enter his Kingdom (Rev 22:15).
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS (Daniel 7:8).
Little children, it is the last time: and ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists: whereby we know that it is the last time (1 John 2).
For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath jointed together, let not man put asunder (Matthew 19)

That does not surprise me. The lies and fallacies of Reformed Theology are so cemented into your brain by five hundred years of indoctrination, you would say that. To suggest that Paul and the Apostles were Calvinists is the height of foolishness. We have the testimony of their immediate disciples, Clement of Rome, Polycarp, and countless others: the Church Fathers. They ALL agreed: man had free will.
Neither Calvinism or Arminianism are biblical. They are both Pharasaical systems of theology designed to provide man with an alternative to obedience. Neither are founded on the Gospel of the Apostles of Christ. They are founded on the gospel of Augustine, which replaced the true Gospel in the 4th Century, in Rome. The Gospel of Augustine is basically rehashed gnosticism, which is what the so-called Church teaches. For more details see the youtube channel: holdingfirmly.
Great Sermon! The KJV translators were merely admonishing the student to verify for themselves that their work was precise, complete and correct. Any other interpretation is entirely unhistorical and illogical. In Augustine’s day there was no final translation. In the King James Bible translators’ day, there was the making of one, so that the sense could be found out, that is, by them in making it, and by us afterward. The translators had to consult many former works. In doing so, they were gathering out and coming to the conclusion of one correct sense as given in English. They were not in any way arguing for the multiplying of English translations, but the opposite.

Some good and some not so good. There's a difference between questioning what the word of God says and questioning what the preacher claims the word of God is saying. We are commanded to test what we are being told. For example, some children lie, true, but not all. Some are as meek as a lamb. Variations in human temperament do not prove an inherited sin nature. Augustine introduced this fallacy from his gnostic background in the 4th Century; his misinterpretation of Romans 5 came from Jerome's faulty translation of the NT. Before then no one taught an inherited sin nature, including the Jews who had full access to Psalm 51. If you didn't believe in man's free will you were a heretic. The Bible clearly teaches corruption comes through temptation (James 1:13-15) and that children are born innocent (john 1:9, Deut 1:39. Matt 18:3). People don't listen to the preacher because they know that what they are being told doesn't make sense. It is absurd to suggest man is born depraved and then criticize his depraved behaviour. Jesus said: This is the condemnation, men loved darkness rather than light because their DEEDS were evil. Not their nature inherited from Adam, but their deeds. When men are called to repent of their sinful deeds rather than blame it on their sinful nature, maybe we'll see some results.
JSC wrote: John yurick Because they are dead in their trespasses and sin. Because they exchange the truth for a lie. Because they must wage war against the Lord and His war to able to continue in their perversion. The question truthfully should be why are not more of God's children being more visible, outspoken, and standing firm in the truth? We know better, they are doing exactly what scripture says they will do under their bondage that God has given them over to; a depraved mind. Romans 1:18-32 is clear about this.
Romans 1 is the definite word on all homosexual behaviour. It describes the processes involved, how the mind arrives at such a position and the consequences thereof. Any human being who can read Romans 1 and still believe homosexuality is in any acceptable and not damnable and worthy of death is under the strong delusion of 2 Thess 2: 11,12, and they themselves, having pleasure in unrighteousness, will be damned. Sign of the times. Stay strong.

Type into youtube Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth Hagin. There are videos uploaded by various, Albert Isakov, mikemch, etc, around 4 to 6 minutes long. The footage speaks for itself, regardless who is the uploader. Even the most rudimentary discernment ought to tell you where this is coming from. If not, as I said, may God help you.

Type into youtube Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth Hagin (together) for the freak show. There is a video series called "Total Onslaught - strange fire" (I'm not a 7th Day Adventist, but the video is good on this subject), which covers the occult symbols etc. Type into Youtube Kenneth Copeland Exposed and just look at the man on these videos. This is not rocket science. He is a charlatan.
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars (Rev 2:2).
SteveR wrote: While I have have shown support for a number of megaChurch pastors on this board, I cant bring myself to defend Copeland. Its not that I agree with you that he 'demon possessed,' I just cant draw a conclusion one way or another. I would just caution you to make such a bold accusation without firm consideration for the words used considering he is a Pastor valued by his flock
If you can't figure out someone like Copeland then may God help you. He uses occult symbols in his literature, promotes the most outrageous heresies, boasts about being a billionaire - I've seen him cavorting around like a lunatic at a meeting, the footage is absolutely outrageous. He is a total charlatan. To believe this man is a genuine minister of the gospel is to be under the darkest delusion.
Right. You've only got to look in Copeland's eyes to see he is demon-possessed to the toenails. How any one can be taken in by him is beyond me. He lives in a mulit-million dollar mansion, flies a 20 million dollar jet, possibly a Satanist. Here's the thing. Did you know he is best pals with Reinhard Bonnke? He funds Bonnke's crusades since 1984. This means Bonnke himself is a false teacher. Must be. There's no way God could have anything to do with an operation funded by Copeland, a Satanist. Look at the stadiums Bonnke packs out. All deception. The guy is nothing more than a showman, a pantomime performer. He's also best mates with Benny Hinn, of all people. It's all fake.
Type into youtube: holdingfirmly (one word). Scroll across to a recent video titled: Show us a sign. Watch that and perhaps things will be clearer. You might wan to check out the video: Suppressing the Truth in Unrighteousness, which gives an account of the development of errors in modern doctrine/theology as it deviated from the teachings of the Early Church. For a real eye opener. Try it.
Beware the Christian Post. It's a Satanic propaganda machine. They are devils posing as Christians. Their articles are often sympathetic towards homosexuality and you'll find all kinds of garbage trojan- horsed therein.
Satan is seeking to modify the sexuality of the human race. The Church is (supposedly) the principle source of light in physical form on Earth. Naturally Satan will seek to infiltrate and corrupt the Church. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. Revelation 2, the Churches of Pergamos and Thyatira, were faced with these issues. Swift repentance was the only solution to avoid disaster.
Fantastic and helpful An excellent overview of the Baptist view of the church, pointing out the history of persecution frequently inflicted on those who follow the Biblically-correct view of the baptism ordinance.
