50 'Hand-Picked' Christians Trained To Convince Churches To Re-Interpret Scripture's Gay Boundaries

Fifty hand-picked Christians were part of a seminal conference last week planned by Matthew Vines, a 23-year-old gay Christian who believes Scripture allows for monogamous homosexual activity, in an effort to spread the idea in the American church over the next decade.

Event participants, who are simply being called "Reformers," are required "to be willing to be a public, accessible, visible leader in their communities for the indefinite future going forward on these issues," said Vines. Regardless of what each leaders' strategy is for inspiring reform, the 23-year-old said it is important for them to be both "respectful and sensitive" when engaged in dialogue with others.

"Our primary goal is not to make the church pro-LGBT," said Vines. "Our primary goal is to protect the integrity of the body of Christ as the witness to God's love on earth." ...

Chris!

I agree that some sins are worse than others and punishment for those sins are and will be different. In the OT, some sins were punishable by death, while others required sacrifice and the sacrifices were of course different. Some people like to make all sins the same but is not true and in my opinion it is simply to make some feel good? God said that some things were abominations, such as homosexuality. Now if He said that; then would He change His mind; of course not.

There are differing levels of punishment though; various levels of suffering in Hell, so to me, one sin isn't necessarily as bad as the next, even though all sin is bad.

I do not hate people that choose to be gay, homosexual, or whatever. God died for them just as he died for me. If you have broken one commandment you are guilty of them all. We all are sinners in the eyes of a thrice Holy God.

I'm sorry! But the bible says to put off the old man and put on the new. You can not live a sinful life style and be a truly converted

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." John 4:23

If we can't see Christ as King and Priest, what do we have?

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17

Christ reigns on high today. If not so, what hope do we have for today?

Is our faith not a living hope and a future reality? Is it not both? Why do we follow those who would deny the fullness of the gospel and lead us into great perversions, putting God's name on these things? We keep asking for a "king" and getting Sauls! We have a King, that is the Christ!

No Josh, I am very gay. The homo agenda is redefining the word gay because it is so much better sounding than calling themselves a perverted sodomite.

Have any of you read Ralph Ovadal's article entitled '"A Popish Octopus with a Very Long Reach"? It is a bit lengthy, but it's pretty good. Here is the link -http://www.pccmonroe.org/2013/07.08.htm

I also read some very disturbing things concerning John MacArthur at http://www.thewatchmanwakes.com/John-Macarthur-salary-GCC-corporation-Larry-King.html

As for 5ptsalt's blog, it is a bit too overbearing for my taste.

I believe someone else posted links to his web page ...but I just want to recommend Pastor Ralph Ovadal found here on SA.
He is not afraid to speak out and name names of those in leadership position in the church who are leading the sheep astray.
He is also a very strong advocate for the preborn!

Well then I have good company! Good for you and good for your husband. Please tell him I said that!

Penny, it is because the document(s) acknowledge that RCC, Greek Orthodox and others who signed the documents are Christians.

Picturethis; I have to take my wife out for Kentucky Fried chicken. I'll check the links out later. John UK was being coy with his older brother. He knows I use the NASB. But, I post using the KJV.

Well done Frank and you are 100% discerning and correct.

Frank, would you mind explaining what was wrong with a Protestant and Catholic signing an agreement together that both groups see abortion as evil? perhaps you could give me understanding? something from the document you felt uncomfortable with?

thanks! (I'm just thinking, my doc is not a Christian, my politicians are not, my mailman isn't, I'll sign a public petition at a grocery store that was written by an atheist if it says we should not murder the unborn....not that that's likely!)

now I'm intrigued... what popish holidays?? Christmas and easter?

Hello sister! Yes and I emailed Mohler and explained to him what he did and he ignored me. I then emailed MacArthur because he didn't separate from Mohler and continued to publicly support him and he didn't respond to me. I even did that to Wayne Grudem's staff and at least they did respond to me; not Dr. Grudem, but his staff.

Now this is simply my personal way of looking at this. I had a responsibility to let them know what they did was wrong; I prayed for each them and then simply left it to the Lord. But, I refuse to read or listen to anyone who signed the document and didn't publicly repent. That is my personal form of separation.

John UK. Is that one of those modern translations.
