Referring to my 2/26/14 10:46 AM:1. The Holy Spirit is set forth as the teacher of God's word not me, Lurker, John UK, GSTexas or anyone else that was not a person of The Trinity before this world was created. 2. "we", and that is an important qualification, for there are a lot of people posing as Christians who are not a part of the "we", have receceived the spirit of God so that "we" can "know" various things . 3. And the "we" whom God has chosen, not the self appointed knowing little to nothing self appointed teachers, "speak" not through "man's wisdom" but rather through "the Holy Ghost" who imparted to the "we" the correct knowledge to the "we" by having the "we" "comparing spiritual things with spiritual", that is, Scripture with Scripture in the Bible and being taught by no less a person than The Holy Spirit as to what the truth equals. 4. And of course, for the following reasons, the things I am pointing out in this post are all entirely over the head of the "natural" man or woman who read SermonAudio comments: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (2 Corinthians 2:14) ... More, My final conclusion. |

At 2/26/14 8:16 AM and at 2/26/14 9:36 AM I illustrated a truth of Scripture in relationship to Two Members of The Trinity: The Son Jesus Christ and The Father. And that truth I illustrated is this: "The one and only correct hermeneutic revealed by Scripture is that Scripture means exactly what God says it means and that the only people who understand Scripture correctly are those to whom God reveals Scripture's correct meaning." I will now illustrate the same truth in relationship to the Third Member of The Trinity: The Holy Spirit. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:12-14) Note some key points in the Scripture above:... More to go in this important consideration. |

In my last post here I stated:"The one and only correct hermeneutic revealed by Scripture is that Scripture means exactly what God says it means and that the only people who understand Scripture correctly are those to whom God reveals Scripture's correct meaning." And I illustrated the truth of my statement in relationship to Jesus Christ, one of the members of the Trinity. Scripture reveals the truth of what I stated in relationship to all three members of the Trinity thus witnessing to the truth of what I stated as well as to the Biblical truth concerning the existence of the Trinity, that is, there is only one God but that one God exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: He [Jesus Christ] saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 16:15-17) The one and only correct hermeneutic revealed by Scripture is that Scripture means exactly what God says it means and that the only people who understand Scripture correctly are those to whom God reveals Scripture's correct meaning. |

Lurker wrote: ... The reason why there are so many differing eschatological views, David, is because there is no agreement of which hermeneutic is right... First defining, HERMENEUTIC:1. the study of the methodological principles of interpretation (as of the Bible) 2. a method or principle of interpretation I agree Lurker that "there is no agreement of which hermeneutic is right" but there is a "right" singularly correct hermeneutic revealed in different places in Scripture, one of those places being: Then opened he [Jesus Christ] their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, (Luke 24:45) The one and only correct hermeneutic revealed by Scripture is that Scripture means exactly what God says it means and that the only people who understand Scripture correctly are those to whom God reveals Scripture's correct meaning. Of those that believe God produced the Bible, most have supplanted the truth I just stated with a Satanic view of Scripture that basically states: mankind totally devoid of God can figure out for themselves what God meant by Scripture. |

For anyone who is or wants to be a serious student of Bible Prophecy, and not just someone who pretends to be be or someone who couldn't care less, be sure to go ]] here and get: THE UNSCRIPTURAL THEOLOGIES OF AMILLENNIALISM AND POSTMILLENNIALISM by Thomas Ice. Mr. Ice in that document has some excellent answers to the false doctrines of AMILLENNIALISM AND POSTMILLENNIALISM. Be sure and download the document as a PDF (top right hand side arrow pointing down) and study it in your spare time so that you truly understand the various things the document states and shows. But do some serious praying about understanding what is shown by the document remembering this: 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Luke 24:45 Then opened he [Christ] their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. |

]] “The wrath to come.” "sinner, this is your present position. No hot drops have as yet fallen, but a shower of fire is coming. No terrible winds howl around you, but God’s tempest is gathering its dread artillery. As yet the water-floods are dammed up by mercy, but the flood-gates shall soon be opened: the thunderbolts of God are yet in his storehouse, but lo! the tempest hastens, and how awful shall that moment be when God, robed in vengeance, shall march forth in fury! Where, where, where, O sinner, wilt thou hide thy head, or whither wilt thou flee? O that the hand of mercy may now lead you to Christ! He is freely set before you in the gospel: his riven side is the rock of shelter. Thou knowest thy need of him; believe in him, cast thyself upon him, and then the fury shall be overpast forever." |

Jim, thanks for the link to the movie, Escape from Sobibor (1987) full movie (Youtube). I used to have that movie on my computer and somehow managed to lose it.It is one of my favorite movies. It is the true story of how desperate jews in the Treblinka concentration camp tried a mass breakout from the camp. Some of those poor Jews got killed in the breakout attempt and some of them made it to the forest. It is one of the most dramatic movies I ever saw, viewed in the context that it's a true story. I will re-watch the movie in the next three days. I heartily recommend it to anyone who can deal with absolute desperation, fear, courage, incredible sorrow, Russian-Jewish collaboration in attempt to save themselves from the Nazis and a host of other things. My guess is that most people won't bother as the latest American sitcom or some other totally pointless tv program will be considered much more important. *** Four comments on one of the most outrageous atrocities in history. Incredible! Note to myself: perhaps it's time to shake the dust off my feet and move on. |
