The black community must unite across Christian-Muslim lines and recognize the common goals among the diverse approaches of its past leaders, from Malcolm X to W.E.B. DuBois, because they all "wanted our liberation," Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan told thousands of supporters Sunday in Detroit.
Farrakhan spoke to a packed Detroit Joe Louis Arena during his keynote address during the annual four-day Saviours' Day convention. He touched on a range of topics, including problems facing the bankrupt host city, where the National of Islam started....
@Jim Lincoln, I agree with Cary Hardy on that comment he made because I've seen it in my sister and niece. My sister would tell of a time when she went to an alter and got saved but she continued in a sinful lifestyle that included affairs, lies, deceit and yet believed she was saved?!! She died a few months ago and never changed her tthinking that she was saved. Most people, including myself, have already made that decision to believe and accept Christ as my Saviour, in repentance I went to the front to join the church and acknowledge what had already happened in my heart. To be baptized. A long road ahead with lots of bends and detours but still standing after all these years.
Cary Hardy wrote: The invitation system leads many to trust their eternal destination to confidence in a “confession” even though they may openly live in rebellion to Him throughout their lives. In other words, their assurance is coming from an act on their part, rather than a genuine trust in the promises of God along with recognizing the Holy Spirit’s work of sanctification in their life. They can point to a date when they walked down an aisle, but they would be hard-pressed to point out proof of regeneration.

Observer, Hopefully I can pull off a Nadal here and use a good spin shot to put you on defense before you can drill the tennis ball past me with a blistering forehand
I don't have any animosity towards you (this morning ) and hopefully it will stay that way till we both find ourselves in new resurrection bodies when there will never be animosity between us or anyone else.
As I explained to John UK a couple of years ago, I chose Dopey as a name to help keep me from getting a swelled head.
Before I was saved I did a lot of wicked and very stupid things.
After I was saved, I made some very big mistakes in terms of conduct similar in principle to King David's mistakes.
Using the name Dopey keeps those events before and after being saved as reminders to what my adamic nature is capable of until I get a new resurrection body, as well as keeps me looking to the only one that can conquer that adamic nature of mine:

Phew! That's a relief, David. So you know what to do now, less fish, and a hot shower now and again, and you'll soon be back to your normal jolly self.
Ya, you got me. I spotted that very late and you caught my post before my edit.
I know, it's hard to edit quickly when you're wearing a boiler suit and gloves.

Whatever it is, you know full well you have brethren and sisters here on SA who would empathise with you and pray for you. Why am I writing this? Concern, brother, concern.

Farrakhan is a favorite with the largely apostate Black church and its racist liberation Theology! It is frightening to think what torment he and his wicked followers will suffer in the lake of fire! Oh God have mercy on this wicked man and deliver him from the wrath to come. For Jesus sake AMEN!
Dopey, not sure how you and Observer got off on the wrong foot. He is a brother beloved who oft times blesses us with his posts. Thing is, so are you. I know I speak for many when I say we enjoy not only your helpful and insightful comments but your wonderful sense of humor. When you ask why he commented the way he did, the answer he gave was the most logical way for you to see why he said what he did. In fact, from a computer (because it is not seen on phone) clicking on SteveR magnifying glass would be an eye opener of itself.
Some of this is the difference in what people can access on SermonAudio. For instance, if I post from a computer I could look up your previous post with the information you gave, it would be very difficult on my phone as it only gives how long ago last post was written. Links are not accessible from my phone but are from computer. I cannot correct or delete a post from computer but not from phone.
I hope the two of you are reconciled as we value both your insights.

Dear sister Dorcas,
If Dopey is one of the Lord's children, then may it be so.
Dopey If you are still there I haven't followed the exchanges between you and Observer and have only briefly looked at some of them
So with my limited knowledge let me make a comment to you
Observer IMHO is right to call SteveR and his ecumenical RC promoting post a "troll". We might still love SteveR (have to commanded by God) but it would be wrong to treat him as an obedient faithful brother in the Faith, but as one as John Yurich who needs to be won to the Obedience of Faith (who we love too even when he imagines that we don't, may of us will likely weep if he goes into eternity in his present mindset)
Anyway I am not entirely sure where you are in your life but do want to encourage you that if you realize you have posted hastily out of the flesh to please do repent and if you can in good conscience reconcile with Observer or others if there is a need to do so
BTW we would love you too, even if you aren't a JohnY or SteveR just Dopey, like I said I am not sure where you are in your life BUT know there is a great promise in Psalm 19 as to how the Law of the LORD (the word of God if you will) is perfect converting or restoring the soul which related to 2 Tim 3:16,17 gives promise of correction IF we err
David, one minute you are trying to draw away disciples onto your own website forum, the next it seems that you are having a final fling and accusing the brethren.
Whatever it is you are doing, I really must tell you that it does not look good. It reminds me of the end of the world, when the devil gets angry and has a final fit of anger, an insane outburst before the end comes, for he knows his time is short.

Dopey wrote: Saved, born-again, Holy Spirit filled people don't threaten people so of course the answer to your question is no. However, sometimes God get so fed up with injustice that He causes things to come crashing down. See the ending of the Sampson story in the Old Testament for confirmation of that truth.
You certainly sounded ominous. Do you think you are the Samson that God will use to bring down this Philistine edifice?
BTW, thanks for pointing out that Samson is an OT character. Blimey you really know your Bible!
