I was raised in that heretical system. The nuns and priests taught from a Baltimore catechism not the Bible.Was told by many that the first 11 chapters were just an allegory,jewish folklore. When the Lord in his mercy glorious revealed Himself and the gospel of grace and opened my eyes,I fled that false system of works and man made traditions. To God be all the glory!
Maybe in his studies that he undertakes in his retirement,the LORD will reveal to him the gospel of grace that saves,thru the Lord Jesus Christ alone.Not a false system of works and man made traditions!!!
Yes TB, It is all HIS grace and all HIS mercy! Salvation is of the LORD! That prayer of transformed motives and desires is always prayed in our household. It is a prayer that we know HE hears and answers. As John Owen once long ago quoted. Be killing sin or it will be killing you! All of GOD'S best .
Christopher000, Have had the same experience with all of our family members also.Very, very difficult since we have told them all including parents we will never set foot in a RC building for weddings,funerals ,etc.They are all held up daily at the throne of Grace.Only HE change hearts.
TB, Agreed with your posts. This has been our experience also in most congregations from pulpit to pew.Start talking about holiness and sanctification and you are usually told you are legalistic or trying to earn heaven. Was a blessing to read your posts.

Let us hear the conclusion of the matter. Two very wise and old pastors who have gone on to glory said. Just try and get that idol of Xmas out of their hand. They will turn and rend you. The other said he had professioning Christians tell him they did not care what the truth was about Xmas they were having it anyway.
