President Barack Obama sent a video message to the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL) Pro-Choice America dinner Tuesday night, welcoming incoming NARAL president Ilyse Hogue — an activist who has called the Tea Party “racist” and suggested Mitt Romney wants rape victims thrown into the water.
Obama’s 2012 deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, spoke at the event, which celebrated the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that paved the way for contemporary abortion rights. The dinner was held at the Washington Hilton. Tables ranged from $3,000 to $25,000.
“Tonight we celebrate the historic Roe v. Wade decision handed down 40 years ago, but we also gather to recommit ourselves to the decision’s guiding principle: that women should be able to make their own choices about their bodies and their health care,” Obama said in his video...
James, you know that I was joking now...about you watching inauguration re-runs and C-Span all night. I checked out C-Span one time...yikes. who needs sleeping pills when they can just cruize on over to that excitement...ha-ha.
Yes, Roan you hit the nail on the head. Throughout the campaign season I just couldn't understand why anybody would vote for Obammy. A lot of people get help from him and it's hard to vote out Santa Claus. They turn a blind eye to the rest because they want their handout.
There are a lot of Americans though, almost half that tried to make a stand against the Obmannation, and to be fair, some people just couldn't vote for a Mormon.
I had a lot more written but I erased it. I just don't have the heart to write the same points time and time again. How anyone could have voted for him a second time is beyond my reasoning. America really is changing and not for the better I'm afraid. I'm personally trying to stay employed overseas until these three years and ten months are over. Assuming the Obmanation doesn't overturn term limits for the POTUS at mid-term election time.
Chris, no disagreement. You are arguing politics and you should. The people who are ignorant in politics are those who argue from shifting sand. Only Christians have a fixed anchor and can engage others substantively in all spheres of life, including politics.
I do not think Obama is the problem. The fact that 60% of the USA voted for him is the problem. It started long ago and it is scary to even think of what this rotting of the fiber of your nation will cause in the future. Not only for the USA but for the whole world.
Ug, you know, I 2nd guessed my post right after I sent it because of the potential flurry of arguments that it could spark in response. I can't argue politics because I don't have the knowledge, or interest to be honest. I like making hit and run comments though...ha-ha. Anyway, I could not delete it because the mobile app doesn't have the option.
Jim must still be in bed after watching inauguration repeats and C-Span all night.
Bye bye now...I won't be responding to any politically based posts because I'm clueless...I just see what I see and comment.
""that women should be able to make their own choices about their bodies and their health care,” Obama said""
Abortion is not about the womans body it is the child in the womb which is murdered.
Obama and his Democrats illustrate their evil politics by their association with and legislation of the murder of infants, the abomination of sodomy and the desecration of marriage.
Why would any person vote for such wickedness and corruption in society? Unless of course they were morally defective.
I'm so tired of hearing this persons name and still can't believe that someone so destructive, anti American, and anti Christian, is being allowed to steer this once great country into irreversible ruin. He openly and arrogantly ignores the constitution, he has doubled the deficit to the point where we can never recover, he praises and supports major, non Christian philosophies, and he has adopted the mindset of anything and everything goes. I could go on and on, of course, but I just don't understand why he has even one vote of support when he is leading this country into major financial and moral ruin. The reason I don't understand is because this effects each and every one of us...even those who, for some reason, support his socialist ideals. I hate talking politics but I'm jist astonished that this guy was elected, proved himself to be less than worthy to run anything, and then gets re'-elected to do whatever the heck he wants because he no longer needs to be concerned with securing another term
