Well said Martin. What I did find very good was that Ken Ham clearly and without any apology presented the gospel quite a few times during the debate. It wouldn't matter how "scientific" Ken had sounded because the natural man cannot and will not believe the biblical account of creation. The natural man's only hope is in hearing the gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. To most unbelievers it would have sounded foolish but to those unbelievers whom God has chosen to save it would certainly have been good news.

A prominent Baptist pastor has recently released a book calling for the Antichrist to follow in President Obama's footsteps. He is specifically not referring to the Pope but one who openly advocates for immorality such as same sex marriage and abortion.
“I applaud the Mountain States Mennonite Conference for choosing grace over law; for affirming common humanity over the perception of sexuality,” one commenter wrote. “Grace is where love is free to happen. And where there is love, there is God. Because God happens when love happens.”
Pastor Sean Harris (above link) has some good words from a preacher's perspective.
Pastors often have few to no close friends, they're competing with the other pastors in town, 30-40% of their members don't show up every week, he has serious budget issues, and add to this toxic mix, his suicidal thoughts. Plus no one wants to attend a church where it's known that the pastor is possibly suicidal. Therefore, a pastor, more often than not, has no one except for his wife (assuming their marriage is still strong) to listen.
Pastor Sean appeals to the suicidal pastor to confidentially email him for help.
Great Sermon! Be careful America. Last night the politicians in our New Zealand government voted for the legalisation of homosexual marriage.
The vote was 77 for and 44 against.
Even though the majority of the country was against this bill the politicians did not care. The scary thing is that we have in power what's known as a centre right government. It's hard to believe our nation that was founded on Christian principle has sunk so low. May God have mercy on us.
Great Truths! Like Eve I'm a former RC. Mercifully saved by the Lord in 1984. The doctrine of election is practically unknown in New Zealand. Christians have in the main never heard of it and if they have they simply will not believe it because on the whole it's just not taught. The main excuse is that it makes God unfair. They just don't have any appreciation of original sin and human depravity. Most churches in my country are Arminian to the core. Thank the Lord He rescued me from Catholicism and then from Protestant Arminianism (which is simply another form of Roman Catholicism). However, where I live there are no churches which preach the reformed doctrines of salvation. So thank you Pastor Knapp for your uplifting message and you raised a very pertinent point which is "Does Arminian preaching truly save the lost?
It's not rocket science. You are correct. The question is who will now run Libya. I don't think it's rocket science. Libya will not be democratic any more than Egypt will be. It won't be long before both countries are ruled by sharia law.
God help the Christians.
Cuts to the chase! I was raised a Roman Catholic but have been a Reformed believer for the past 20 years through the grace of God.
However, it's still very uplifting to hear a message like this one and to be reminded of humanity's most urgent problem. Cuts right to heart of the Gospel. Keep preaching this message pastor. God bless you.
Great Sermon! Mighty sermon. I would love that same message to be delivered to the godless polititians in my country. They too will one day have to give an account to the God who put them into office.
Biblical teaching. Thank you brother Don for your sound teaching. It's always uplifting listening to any of your recordings. I don't say this to in any way puff you up, but I thank the Lord for the God honouring Gospel teaching that I always hear in your sermons.
Jesus is always lifted up to the highest place in your teaching.
Such biblical exposition is difficult to find in this age.
Fantastic Sermon! I would very strongly urge all Roman Catholics and definitely all Protestants who don't know too much about the Catholic system to listen to this message.
I went through my entire schooling system in Catholic institutions. Nuns, brothers and priests.
Those poor deluded souls. The catholic system truly is evil and the people in the system, even though they may have backslidden are truly the most difficult people to share the Gospel with.
May the Lord bless your ministry.
Spanking ban to stay in NZ Good Sermon and I totally agree with your comments.
Unfortunately our new "so called" conservative prime minister believes he knows better than the 87.6% of New Zealander's who voted in the recent referendum to get rid of the crazy "anti smacking" law that was brought in by the previous Labour Government. He has openly stated that his government will not repeal this law.
So it is still a crime in NZ to discipline your child with a light smack.
No law change in NZ sadly !! 87.4% voted in the recent referendum in New Zealand that a light smack to a child for disciplinary purposes should not be considered a criminal offence.
Sadly the newly elected National Government have since told the electorate that they will not change the law. So smacking will still be a criminal offence. So much for so called democracy. Western democracy has become a sick joke. Even the so called "conservative" governments these days are very liberal and left leaning. It's a sign of the times sadly.
God commanded man to take dominion over His creation. That includes all animal species - not man, who is not an animal. God also told Moses that it is lawful to eat animal flesh after the flood. But as a human being we have a responsibility in the eyes of God to treat amimals "humanely" ie not with cruelty. I enjoy meat products but at the same time I respect that an animal should be treated humanely.
"How can you be sure that any particular confession of faith has it 100 per cent right?"
By the same token how can one be sure his own bible understanding is always correct, or his pastor's? If your Pastor errs then why do the congregation usually follow- despite believing they are bible bereans? Think of 'the brethren' for example-no confesssion-yet often much error despite the claim that they have ONLY the Bible. A confession is in black and white and can be accepted or rejected-nothing hidden or mysterious. At least you know what the church believes on doctrine and what your pastor is stating he believes BEFORE he enters the pulpit. It was a certain Mr Russell who rejected the Westminster confession and founded the WT Society. Nothing wrong with that confession particularly on the trinity! How long before you spot an anti-trinitarian if he doesn't expound the word of God and simply gives a light gospel message about faith in the son of God (like many evangelicals)? Like 'oneness pentecostals'-it might take a while!!
