Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. (Matthew 23:23-25 KJV
This is straight out of hell and these folks (this church and pastor) are fooling people into thinking they are going to be okay. This is a doctrine of the devil, that this pastor has created with this so called Baptisim Manual. He is a WOLF in somewhat sheeps clothing!
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (2 Timothy 4:3 KJV) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1 KJV)
Barry, this is the Obama administrations plan, they are the ones who forced this thru to law. All the blame lies solely on him and the democrats who voted for it. My insurance will increase from $375 to $675 and I will have less of a plan than what I had before.
Look this is about forgiveness, not who committed the worst sin. Paul described himself as the chief among sinners. I hate the sin of abortion just as much as any born again believer should. This women is trying to seek forgiveness and seems as some on here just wanted to kick her while she was down. That is why I thought of the women caught in the very act of adultery with her accusers wanting her to be stoned to death. That verse of scripture is not about adultery but was about the Pharisees and their unwillingness to look at themselves and the fact that we are all sinners bound for hell unless we become born again. If Christ can forgive her at the least I can do the same. Do not get me wrong I hate the sin of abortion just as much as most of you do but Christ came to save sinners. All I know is if that women asked Christ to come into her heart and she became born again then she is forgiven. She may have to deal with the emotional side of her sin or the consequences but she will be in heaven with me and countless others who have been born again.
I guess some have reached sinless perfection on here as I am not sure what sin sends you to hell after you have been born again. Not sure how I become unborn? Maybe I should take up sacrificing animals to atone for my daily sins as Christ is not sufficient sacrifice for my sin. (I am being sarcastic) , 1 John 1:9 is what I do when I fail in my daily walk Christ.
Rejected! This homosexual marriage law has today been found to be unconstitutional by the high court of Australia! As such all those that rushed to get married in the A.C.T will have their marriages made null and void. Good news.
Yes I remember the town drunk would get drunk and check himself into jail to avoid his wife. Not a great role model for husband and wife for a family show I must say but way better than what is out today I guess.

Revelation 3:20 KJV 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
I will take a stab at it.
1. What is the door? Mans Heart or Spirt 2. What is the knock? Repeated calls for salvation 3. Whose is the voice? The Holy Spirt 4. What does "come in to him" mean? As Christ came to Zaccheus 5. What does "sup with me" mean? Christ is the Bread of Life or Living Water and giver of the marraige feast.
If you answer all questions correctly, I will award you the theologian of the month.
John UK - I must say the line of questioning is quite silly. No I do not hear a audible voice with my ears but I do however hear from my Shepard though. The Holy Spirt of God does speak to me when I pray, read my bible, testify, sing etc.. Now this is not a audible voice but can be heard only thru having the Holy Spirt of God on the inside,ie being born again. I do talk to The Lord in prayer sometime audibly and sometime in my inside voice/mind. Now if you say that you do not or can not speak or hear The Lord thru prayer then I guess that is why you can not hear his voice. I must admit when I sin and do wrong my Sheperd thru the Holy Spirt makes known to me that I messed up by conviction for doing wrong. Now he did not speak audibly but I did hear him speak to me thru his Holy Spirt bearing witness with my spirt.
I interpret scripture in the context of the chapter or chapters surrounding the verse. So I assume we understand The Lord is drawing a narrative/picture to something these folks can understand. As most knew what a job of a Shepard entailed. The sheep knew their shepherd and know his voice when he spoke. The Sheep looked to the shepherd for daily care and provisions, they knew if they followed him they would be taken care of and protected.

John 10:27-29 KJV 27 My sheep **hear my voice**, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Sieriously some of you are questioning what these verses mean? Granted when I was lost I would not have been able to tell you but the Holy Spirt of God guides me in all truth. This is basic 101 verse for a born again believer and is very clear in what it states. Am I missing something in this conversation?
Infant baptism and baptism without salvation has sent a many of people to hell. Ye must be born again, faith in Christ and him alone. Baptism does not save anyone, it's something that comes after salvation thru being obedient to Gods word.
