The media has to blame something and its not PC to say that Adam Lanza shot those children out of the evil in his own heart. Guns, drugs, video games and movies all of those things have great potential to be used for good or evil and all or some were possibly supporting elements of Lanza's vile deed yet none were the cause. That purpose is found in the heart of all men. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
The real question we should be asking ourselves is " How is God glorified in this situation? " I don't believe for one second That God will be mocked by mans wickedness. Oh, we may try but He will prevail and God will be glorified. Of course God has the power to restrain acts of evil yet He does not. Evil still happens and we puny humans shake our fists in ignorance and anger. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. If the chief end of man is to glorify God and he cares Enough for His people that he works ALL THINGS together for our good then, somehow this tragedy is for the good of the elect but most of all is that somehow God is glorified, even in this.
