Americans for Prospertiy, a conservative tax-exempt organization, has a new 60-second television ad running in Michigan that criticizes Democratic congressman Gary Peters for his vote and continued support of Obamacare. The ad features Michigan citizen Julie Boonstra, who describes how she was diagnosed with leukemia but lost her health insurance coverage this year because of Obamacare's regulations.
"I was doing fairly well fighting the cancer, fighting the leukemia, and then I received a letter. My insurance was canceled because of Obamacare," says Boonstra. "Now, the out-of-pocket costs are so high, it's unaffordable. If I do not receive my medication, I will die. I believed the president. I believed I could keep my health insurance plan. I feel lied to." Watch the ad below:...
We should be able to have the heart plans we want and see doctors we want. Its our lives not the governments. They aren't God. I still go see my old doctor out of spite. Because I like my doctor so im going to keep him. : )
Barry, this is the Obama administrations plan, they are the ones who forced this thru to law. All the blame lies solely on him and the democrats who voted for it. My insurance will increase from $375 to $675 and I will have less of a plan than what I had before.
It a shame that folks can't think for themselves and have to rely on a party. You were just diagnosed with cancer do you realize that in the past you would not be able to get insurance. I get that the affordable care act needs work it's not Obama care he is not issuing the policies . If you feel the conservatives are going to hunt you down for having an independent though GOD bless you but get a life
