The Bible says in Leviticus 20 v 13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Powerful delivery! I had forgotten the different attempts David went thru to cover his sin against Uriah. Wow. Protect me, Oh Lord, from falling likewise! Awesome sermon...Pastor's picture looks like someone down here...without the John the Baptist beard. Blessings

People need to stick with the King James Bible, any other English translation is a PERVERSION and not God's Word.

dagnia from the UK, thanks for your GREAT comment! So cogent and true! I hope that people will scroll down here to see your comment and take it into strong consideration! My wife is from Ukraine and translates from English to Russian and English to Ukrainian (and back, of course) and she knows how HORRIBLE the software translations (online or not) are! I can't believe that they would promote such a FAULTY product on here!

It is time for Southern Baptists to get back to the mission of the church.

"Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel"

It is becoming more and more apparent that the focus of the Southern Baptists is being detoured from the purpose of the church. Just remember God created this universe and in HIS time He will destroy it.

From Canada, my message to the Baptists is to get back to the business of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ today---redeem the time--- Your focus should be on Christ and Him alone.

All these radical global warming enthusiasts are a tax collectors dream while the 3rd world countries pollute to their heart's content at Americas expense.

We have nothing in common with islam, its and evil and ungodly cult. Many people have been misled by a false prophet. The true face of islam can be seen in Iraq and Afghanistan and other countries. Wake up England. Wake up.

I thought Dr. Paul handled himself very well with the questions he was given. He didn't cave into their pro-abortion leanings. He calmly stated his positions, and he did a very good job.

As a Texan, I have followed Ron Paul for several years now. He is the only candidate who truly takes the Constitution seriously, as his voting record demonstrates. When any government official takes office, he takes an oath to "protect the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic". All of the other candidates have endorsed plans and programs that are clearly in violation of the Constitution (even with the most liberal reading of it). If the President expects the people to obey the law, he should be willing to set the example by obeying the requirements of the Constitution and keeping his oath of office. He is truly a man who let's his "yes" be "yes". I don't agree with him on everything, but I respect his integrity a great deal. No other candidate has demonstrated such consistent principle.

This pastor may have good intentions. What he has forgotten is the great commission. "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel" I didn't say that Christ did. Sometimes Christians tend to get sidetracked with social justice matters and forget the purpose of the church.

Also, my Bible says God created this earth and everything in it. It will be God who will decide when the time has come to end this world, not man! God help the Born Again Christian who forgets this.

Walt,

It appears that you have pre-judged "Bushies" unfairly in all that loquacious writ.

I live in the South. Always have. I know the evils of prejudice in society and I hate it.

Still, Islam seeks to destroy my way of life and its agenda is to deny Jesus Christ as God, Lord, Savior. I pray that the crosshairs of militants never rest on you, or me, or any of us.
May God grant our Military Victory on the field of battle. Semper Fi.

God's Peace to you,
James

This is a wise decision. We did not want a split in the Free Presbyterian Church.

Rev. William McCrea, will you now do the decent thing and leave the politics to someone else. I would have no problem with you as a politician but not while you are also a minister of religion.

Concentrate on what is eternally important.

Shawn is exactly right--Grace can only be known in relation to the Law. If you negate the Law, there is no longer a need for Grace. Grace allows us to be forgiven for breaking the Law, even though we do not and indeed cannot deserve forgiveness. Grace has never been and never will be a license for ignoring the moral Law. Jesus said that he did not come to abolish the Law but to fulfill the Law!

If Jesus died on the cross for our sins as our Redeemer, then why do you hate the Jews for supposedly doing the deed? I would think that you would feel the opposite. After all, didn't God send his Son here to die for us?

Yes, let's hope he was. But, what if he wasen't? Which leads me to the next question. What happens to a person's soul that has never been exposed to the Bible when that person passes on? For instance, what about people in countries where religious persecution is practiced where reading the Bible has in the past or is now forbidden? Or, how about native Americans that never saw a Bible? How about a blind person that was never read to, or before braille was invented? African tribes in the jungle? I hope you know where I'm going. Are these people thru no fault of thir own doomed to an eternity in hell because they never had access to the Bible? I'm sure that there are billions of people that lived eons ago that never laid eyes on a Bible. Did God sentence them to an eternity of darkness?

And after attending quite a few services in a Baptist Church, I've come to the conclusion that some Baptist teachings have more in common with Muslim teachings than the CC ever did or will.

That's a lie based on prejudice, bigotry & misinformation. If anyone has the devil in them it is people like you for spreading this kind of garbage. Read the Commandments & follow them before you decide to malign others with falsehoods.
