Michael Hranek wrote: election is totally arbitary/uncondictional Michael. 1. If you make election CONDITIONAL then you create a works based religion such as the idolatrous RCC.2. There is NO human condition or merit contained or provided, whereby a sinner can coerce God to save him; [even if you Arminians imagine there is]. 3. John UK wrote: Guess why he didn't look at Christianity first off. Hmmm. Because he wasn't called and not one of the elect. Perhaps he is now a fully qualified Arminian saving himself hoist by his own petard. You must stop removing God and grace from the formula John. If by the grace of God you are called to serve HIM then HE will be the one who brings you to the Church as well as salvation. Just because they are here on earth does not mean that GOD does not providentially steer HIS elect to the means of worship, service and salvation. Praise and glory to GOD alone. John Yurich USA wrote: He will only look at who had trusted in Him alone for salvation. God has already chosen the elect John and whilst they are here on earth God provides them with the gift of faith which is only received by the elect. So God does not need to "check out" human decisions and sinner choices to confirm the elect. When God's elect enter heaven they have no need of "convincing" God whether they are "good enough" to be saved - God has already predestinated, chosen and saved before the foundation of the world .... Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will" Don't you believe the Bible John? God guides the disciple by His Holy Spirit and this enables them to choose the right service and church to worship God. God does not allow them to support idolatrous cults such as the RCC, since HE is in the business of preaching truth unto salvation. 2Pet 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies" |

'Christians' know by faith that God is absolutely sovereign over everything. Salvation the precious gift of God to His elect equally finds God in absolute sovereignty over it. God elects from the foundation of the world. Obviously man had nothing to do with that since he did not exist at that point in time. God also predestinated His elect people unto salvation and eternal life. At this same time God reprobated those who were not elect. Thus the chosen by God at the foundation of the world are to be saved In Christ. These are the Remnant whom God sets apart to be holy as He is holy. Man has no influence or merit enabling him to be saved. This act is entirely God's and nothing else comes into it. Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called ACCORDING to HIS PURPOSE. # Called according to GOD'S PURPOSE. # Man can do nothing to affect the purpose of God. 29 For WHOM HE did FOREKNOW, he ALSO did PREDESTINATE to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover WHOM HE DID predestinate, them HE ALSO called: and WHOM HE called, them HE ALSO JUSTIFIED: and whom he justified, THEM HE ALSO GLORIFIED. Thus Absolutely Nothing is contributed by man. |
