Unity and Continuity wrote:
God annulled the covenant He had with the nation Israel.
But God has never never annulled the covenant of Grace which HE maintains with the "true Israel."
That Covenant is eternal by the work and purpose of God and since the foundation of the world when He made it with our Mediator.
Rom 11:18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Covenant "unto" them, not with them.

Rom 9:6 For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
# Verse teaches TWO peoples in Israel - ONE Remnant. TWO Reprobate. Guess which one God makes the Covenant with. Therefore this demonstrates covenant personal relationship is selective, viz election.
Covenant - Is God making a personal relationship with HIS elect/Remnant.
Gen 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly."
Note: God "MAKES" the covenant.
Note: Between GOD and man (Abraham in this case)
Note: How significant this is to have GOD Himself create this special relationship and fellowship with sinful man.
Note: God makes promises for HIM to fulfil in Covenant.
Note: Ultimately God (see Hodge) makes HIS OWN BELOVED SON the mediator for this Covenant. A task HE gave to Jesus before the foundation of the world.
Hodge points out Christ is mediator of Covenant ON BEHALF OF ELECT, (Remnant).
GOD began covenant with Adam in the very beginning of creation.
..great shepherd of the sheep, through the BLOOD of the EVERLASTING COVENANT Heb 13:20
You are all over the place and no one can make sense of your rambling nonsense. The COG was with Christ, his people are the beneficiaries, not parties to the covt!

a. Covenant of Grace. Note Rom 9:6.
b. Did you read what Hodge said about the Covenant??
Rom 9.6 mentions no covenant with the remnant.

Hodge says Christ is the federal head. Where does he say about a covenant directly with the remnant? And besides why should we care what Hodge says? He was in error on a number of points.

.....God did not break covenant with His Remnant....
Reference the situation found in Zech 11; - Do you think God breaks covenant with His Remnant just because those around them are wicked and disobedient? If so as I pointed out below there is not much hope for the true church today then is there...
Care to point us to any covenant specifically with the remnant?

Why do you in subsequent posts shift ground to speak of the covt of grace when in previous posts you have insisted that God has always had a covenant with the remnant? You appear very confused in your thinking.

Why Do YOU Keep Changing Moniker Like A Devil YOURSELF ? ? ?
"Pentecost", As You Say, Was Indeed The Language Of ALIENS ! ! !
"Be Not Forgetful To Entertain STRANGERS (ALIENS): For Thereby Some Have Entertained Angels (Spiritual/Spirit Aliens) Unawares."--Hebrews 13:2
"Peter, An Apostle Of Jesus Christ, To The STRANGERS (ALIENS [MORTAL &-OR DIVINE]) Scattered Throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, And Bithynia,"--1 Peter 1:1
"Dearly Beloved (Saints Of Almighty GOD), I Beseech You As STRANGERS (ALIENS [MORTAL &-OR DIVINE]) And PILGRIMS, Abstain From Fleshly Lusts, Which War Against The Soul;"--2 Peter 2:11
"Beloved, Thou Doest Faithfully Whatsoever Thou Doest To The Brethren (The Saints), And To STRANGERS (ALIENS [Of Whom The Elect Saints Are Numbered Among The Aforesaid 'Strangers']);"--3 John 1:5
"Though I Speak With The TONGUES Of Men And Of ANGELS (ALIENS, STRANGERS, ETC.), And Have Not Charity (Love [Agape]), I Am Become As Sounding Brass, Or A Tinkling Cymbal.--1 Corinthians 13:1
I have not changed my moniker. Check back silly!

So you admit that alien only means foreigner? If so, your even more silly than I thought. Because then "alien tongue" would be as I have been insisting "foreign language"!

Why do you keep changing moniker like a devil?!

Are you saying that Pentecost was the language of aliens? Lizard like creatures maybe?!

Your imagination is as fanciful as your theology.

I am well aware that the translators of The King James Bible inserted the word "unknown" before the word "tongue" &-Or "tongues";
But,
That Does NOT Give Anyone The Right To Say That The Word "known" Should Be Inserted Where The Word "unknown" precedes the word "tongue" In Our OVER 400 YEAR OLD AUTHORIZED KING JAMES BIBLES !
..
Duh!

In Elizabethan common parlance, "unknown" (not a word found in any Greek text of the Bible) simply meant "foreign". And so the unknown tongue, was a foreign language.

If you had a mind to think, you might even look at the first occurrence of the tongue speaking in Acts on the day of Pentecost. What happened then? These so called unknown tongues were understood. By whom? Not the speakers but by those dispersed Jews and proselytes who came to Jerusalem from far off lands and who therefore spoke in other languages!

Its not the Bible that is the problem, its your Jemimah understanding. You need to learn to think.

This is just one of many ways to pray the model prayer:
Dear Father who is far,
may your name be praised.
Please rule us!
May you do on earth
just the way it's done in heaven.
Give us the food we need, thanks!
And forgive our sins against you
as we forgive all who offend us.
Please don’t put us through hard things,
but prevent us from stumbling into everything bad.
Because you are the one in charge,
you have all the power, and the glory too!
After all, this is yours forever,
which is just the way we want it!
No! It is a pattern prayer teaching the different components that should make up genuine prayer.

"After this manner..." DOES NOT MEAN using these exact words! This is NOT a command to regurgitate the prayer in a liturgical fashion.

Dispensationalism is naturally going to claim that the manifestations of the Spirit are no longer present in this age. Dispensationalist need to focus on the Kingdom of God coming in power and understand what that means to the acts of God manifested in the new Covenant for Jews and Gentiles who are one in Christ.
Not just dispensationalists, but pretty all Reformed churches too.

Now if you were to say, "Go out into all the world and preach the gospel, firstly by defining and condemning sin, revealing the eternal and temporal consequences of it, bringing forth, if the Spirit wills it, a conviction of sin and contrition for sin, then pouring in the gospel balm of forgiveness through the shed blood of Christ, thus bringing to pass repentance and faith in a poor sinner's heart, wrought by God and effectual, that he may be justified by faith in Jesus Christ apart from works .... then I would totally agree with you, because that is biblical.
That doesn't work which is why the murder of innocent babies still goes on in your civilised society. What you have suggested has never stopped abortion, murder or any of the evil crimes which humans commit. So perhaps you need to get back to the point brought up by Pill Kills and stop with the ambiguity.
