You obviously didnt even try to understand 'stand for gods' concerns before that attempted rebuke. If you did, you would know she isnt a 'sir.' She is an African American woman who found the article & acknowledgment of it by Chris offensive.
Its a despicable article that should receive zero support in this forum
Ditto the article about Roman Catholics and Baptists!

... look how popular gossip about the Vatican is here
Making up definitions to suit your purpose!

The RCC puts itself in the place of Christ, but opposes the clear teaching of the Bible. As a vehicle of deception it wields greater power in the world than almost anything else (if your figures are correct 1.6 billion souls under its sway - 1.6 billion souls held captive in soul damning error!). Hence, the concern that anyone should want to promote this beast as a true church.

It is not gossip if people discuss what is so clearly documented in terms of the history and beliefs of the RCC. It clearly does not suit you and so like any unrighteousness person you wish to suppress the truth by rebranding the thread as a gossip thread.

I wonder where you undertook your Jesuit training?!

Says the man that hasnt been trusted with a congregation of his own. Its quite obvious that at least MILLIONS of Gods people have been entrusted in the RCC, and you can be trusted with any. Why? The only people here who listen to you, do so only because you validate their wickedness like your participation in this gossip thread.
If the RCC is as wicked as you believe and millions of Christians are entrusted there, what does that say about you?
The devil showing his true colors!

Why are you on this board?

Perhaps you thought people on here were easy pickings? That they are ignorant as you clearly are?

Wouldn't it make more sense for you to share your "love" with your fellow Roman Catholics on their website forums? Or maybe you've been thrown off these because you've made a nuisance of yourself?

As for the reformed position concerning salvation, the new world position that is attempting to bring everyone together by trying to trick and confuse the ignorant or find loopholes in God's Word, I reject it. 1,000,000,000 Romam Catholics did not suddenly become true, Bible approved, Christians with the stroke of a pen. The Muslims are not our brothers and sisters simply because they believe in and worship the same God. Allah was originally Al-elah (? ), their moon god. The Shintoists with their clanging symbols and the Buddists with their chanting and incense are not our brothers and sisters either, simply because they believe in a higher power, as Pope John told the world from his seat and "by revelation of the Holy Spirit."
Lies from the pit of Hell that the world is absorbing with great joy because they no longer need to walk the straight and narrow...they can now live a much wider moral an ethical lifestyle without any perceived repercussions when they die.
Well said!

Sure he is, otherwise you wouldn't brown nose him or his theology.

No it does not. It merely demonstrates that Rome accepts that they can be saved by their own religion but that as far as Rome is concerned it should be no bar to them also embracing Roman Catholicism. Conclusive proof that RCC is all about syncretism and not about defending apostolic doctrine concerning Jesus Christ. It is not a Christian Church, but Anti Christ because it rejects the exclusive claims of Christianity!

Wrong again! All sides, except Roman Catholics, accept that justification is by faith alone.

The kind of faith that saves is a different issue altogether!

Another devilish attempt to confuse matters. Boy you're all at sea on everything. You could perhaps start with a Sunday School catechism? Might do you real good!

This is utter nonsense. What makes this guy think that he can lie so blatantly on this board and NOT be picked up on it?

This also shows that he knows soooooo little about justification and its importance!

My conclusion, for what it is worth, is that he is himself not saved and is trying to teach theology to folk on here who know far more than he does, which basically is everyone except JFJ.

The next step is a genuine sorrow for all sin with the resolution to begin a new life by receiving holy baptism and by observing the commandments of God. The process of justification is then brought to a close by the baptism of water, inasmuch as by the grace of this sacrament the catechumen is freed from sin (original and personal) and its punishments, and is made a child of God. The same process of justification is repeated in those who by mortal sin have lost their baptismal innocence; with this modification, however, that the Sacrament of Penance replaces baptism."]]New Advent (Condensed to conserve space. Scroll down to The Catholic doctrine on justification..)
By SteveR's reading of the Bible the Judaizers were genuine Christians, because their misunderstanding of the crucial doctrine of Justification would have been no bar to entry in heaven!

You still don't get it do you? Neither RCC or your opinion matter one whit!

Only the Bible matters, and the bible is clear that Abraham saw Christ's day and rejoiced in it - he understood substitutionary sacrifice and imputed righteousness! That's why he is called the father of the faithful.

Matthew 16:23 ...., Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
He asked these Nuns why they were so happy and content, they replied they had the Love of Christ. He asked how he could follow and THEY pointed to the Bible. And since reading the Bible, he has considered Coptics, Catholics and Orthodox his fellow Missionaries
Whatever love they thought to have for Christ would have been the sort that Mother Teresa possessed viz. a delusional love! I'm sure you think that she was truly saved too, eh?

Them pointing him to the bible does by no stretch of the imagination fit your decription of them "bringing him to faith".

Your devilish tactics are plain for all to see on this board. You should be ashamed of yourself. May the Lord rebuke you!

btw- Brother Andrew was led to faith by the Roman Catholic nuns tending to his wounds..
Why doesn't it surprise me that you would lie even on a matter such as this.

One nun was instrumental right at the start of what brother Andrew himself called an, "incredible journey of discovery". And all she did was encourage him to read the bible!

BUT, and this is the point, none of the nuns explained anything to him. He understood the gospel from his own reading of the Bible! So much for the nuns bringing him to faith!!

Thanks for being a sounding board.
For me I think it boils down to this
it is one thing for someone blindly parroting false teachings
it is another for someone who ought to know better knowingly promoting false teachings.
IMHO SteveR ought to know better and be treated appropriately so. Ignorant nominal Catholic or even baptists can be another matter.
Indeed Michael.

2 John 10 and 11 come to mind:

If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

In verse 7, those who abide not in the doctrine of Christ are labelled "deceivers", and such is SteveR!!

..let me ask you a question.
If someone like SteveR holds a position like he does, how can we best get through to them with the Truth if they are emotionally attached to a pastor/church that holds and promotes these kind of false beliefs?
Because what we are asking is that for the sake of Truth, for the sake of Jesus Christ and the Gospel that they themselves be willing to put their own lives on the line, and be willing to stand despite the consequences, and in their own local church perhaps very very alone.
Biblical Thoughts/Insight?
Michael, as much as we hurt for people in the RCC who are deluded into thinking that they are Christian, we should be angry with people like SteveR who confirm them in their delusion. Do you suppose for a moment that our Lord would ever do such a cruel thing?

If they are genuinely converted we should call on them to leave the RCC. And you know that the Spirit of God who indwells the truly converted would constrain them to leave.

As for SteveR, he and his ilk are errorists of the worst kind - who under the guise of love send millions to hell! He should be warned and shunned.

The moderator told me I had to be nice to you, maybe I hurt your feelings? Anyways, I will not respond to you, but leave you with this. Saving faith requires something you seem to be void of, Love for your brethren.
Like you, the devil and his demons despise Gods People. There is no Love in them.
1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
1 John 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
Loving Gods people is right. But you've not demonstrated in the least that any Roman Catholic is one of God's children.

To love the enemies of God as though they are the children of God is what you are advocating and that is devilish in the extreme!!

You sir are self deceived and a deceiver!!

Please study up or go away, you are an embarrassment to the board
Ecumenism is the syncretic vehicle by which the devil seeks to fudge and obscure the truth in order to absorb all dissenting voices into the RCC. And yes the Jesuits promote the cause of the Antichrist to enslave and return if possible all Christians to a state of darkness. The counter-reformation has never stopped!!

Why don't you study and think some. You're the laughing stock of this board!

Christopher, we all know you mean well, but can't you tell yet that you'd just be wasting your time!! He's really not interested in what you have to say!! In his mind he's right and that's all there is to it.

He's just a Jesuist troll looking to make disciples!!

Why don't you ask him where he stands on homosexuality and whether he accepts the akin to slavery argument. Ask him how serious an error would have to be before he'd separate from a church or from an errant teacher. I think you'll discover that he's an amoral latitudinarian ecumenist through and through.
