Pope Benedict resigned after being handed report into gay sex and corruption in Vatican, says newspaper
POPE Benedict XVI resigned after an internal investigation informed him about a web of blackmail, corruption and gay sex in the Vatican, Italian media reports say.
A team of three cardinals were asked by Benedict to verify allegations of financial impropriety, cronyism and corruption exposed in the so-called VatiLeaks affair.
In December, they handed the pontiff a large portfolio of papers which was "an exact map of the mischief and the bad fish'' inside the Holy See, La Repubblica said.
"It was on that day, with those papers on his desk, that Benedict XVI took the decision he had mulled over for so long,'' said the centre-left newspaper. It said its article was the first of a series....
John, Steve answered me in a previous post or thread that he is not Roman Catholic. Many of my family members and also my wife and her entire family are Ram Catholic. Missing a mass is a mortal sin type of Roman Catholic. So, if anyone wishes any of this were true, it's me, but unfortunately, the Bible and historical record are quite clear concerning their fate if they don't "come out of her...". : (

The RCC puts itself in the place of Christ, but opposes the clear teaching of the Bible. As a vehicle of deception it wields greater power in the world than almost anything else (if your figures are correct 1.6 billion souls under its sway - 1.6 billion souls held captive in soul damning error!). Hence, the concern that anyone should want to promote this beast as a true church.
It is not gossip if people discuss what is so clearly documented in terms of the history and beliefs of the RCC. It clearly does not suit you and so like any unrighteousness person you wish to suppress the truth by rebranding the thread as a gossip thread.

You clearly haven't a clue of the meaning of 1 John 4.2, if you use the minimum face value meaning to include Roman Catholics as possessing the Spirit of God.
Your understanding is so darkened, one hardly knows where to start with you.
Very many have attempted to show you that Justification by faith is the heart of the gospel and so a crucial doctrine one must understand and embrace to be a true Christian. Since the RCC does not believe this their false gospel can never lead anyone to salvation.
If you believe different you have to show that the RCC has changed. Since you can produce no such evidence, you can conjecture all you like about some being saved, but don't expect any of us to be following you soon in this or at least until hell freezes over.

With 1.16 billion RCC members, just 5% is more than 50 million. That number is probably more than the entire current membership of all the conservative synods in the Reformed Faith.

I have to start reading the Psalms and Proverbs. Whether it's here or elsewhere, I always like the quotes I read. Most of them are very simple in nature but poignant and sensible.
