This is good news. I do beloved that catholicism is false but I am glad that an organization has taken a stand against the Obama adm. Christian organizations should be doing the same thing.
This minister, Darryl Husband, has taken a courageous stand. But, as a true minister, it is expected of him. It doesn't matter about being of the same race. What is important is following Christ. He mentions his reluctance. There should be no reluctance at all. He should be shouting this from the rooftops! Husband's mission as a minister is to preach the gospel no matter what.
Conflict? There should NO conflict whatsoever! I agree with the commentator Lady Virtue. I am also Africa American and did not vote for Obama and will not this time also. It doesn't matter about race but only about following Christ.
To the previous commentator who said it is easy to criticize: I am glad this is an open forum in which we all have the right to speak and write on different issues. We can agree and disagree about an article. If it seems Mr. Blair is being criticized, then so be it. He brought that on himself. And also, as a Christian, it goes without saying that all leaders will be prayed for in the whole world.
Mr. Lerner, in my opinion, seems somehow disrespectful in using the story of Moses and the Isreal Exodus event as an example. This was a wonderful display of the Hand of God! But a typical union strike happens all the time--nothing awesome about that. If people are unhappy about job conditions, there will eventually be conflict and some sort of rebellious activity anyway--which is good. Lerner talked confusing and it was not humorous at all.
Of course this shouldn't be a surprise at all to this country. This leader is on a wicked mission to undo all laws and practices that honor God. I am stedfast prayer for this government and this country!
This is the same Tony Blair who strongly supports same-sex marriage, abortion, and practice catholicism. Now he wants to mention this that happened some years ago. What good is that. What he should do is ask God to forgive him for his ungodly views and take a godly stand. Stop blaming some officials from the past!!!
To the commentator 'Overflowing Grace', thank you for your informative comment on Andy Stanley and I do agree with you about it is a growing problem with these churches. Shameful! I am determine to be stedfast in prayer that there will ministers who have courage and integrity to continue to follow God's way and not a mere man--an example, the president.
Mohler speaks of foolishness, in my opinion all throughout this article. The bottom line is that homosexuality is a sin, an abomination and Christians should continue to address it as such. Romans 1.
As Linda Harvey says--in so many words--Christian parents and students should take a pro-active stand against this issue. There are many ways to counteract.
Praise God--Bible classes! For the commentator that remarked that reading the Bible can result in a negative outcome--this is the complete opposite. The outcome is completely positive--it outweigh the negatives! No comparison whatsoever.
