Don, are you referring to the ELCA or PCUSA? I don't think there is a Lutheran Church USA.
Don Tian wrote:
Well, you can thank the Lutheran Church USA for sponsoring hundreds if not thousands of Somali and other African people. They never assimilated and live as Muslim as possible. Soon they will be charging a tax for Christians to live in their area; I don't doubt they already charge this tax when they own an apt. bldg. and have units rented to Muslims and Christians.
Then you will start hearing the ear-splitting calls to prayer at 5:00am, noon, etc.

Apologies, secularization "act" was a spell check typo as was "store".

Frank, I am in Landstuhl, near Kaiserslautern and have not been here long but like it thus far, except for the secularization act.

I think the store of the article distills the point you were making.

I thought Luther's Flood Prayer was worth reading in regard to some of the posts:
Almighty and eternal God, according to Your strict judgment You condemned the unbelieving world through the flood, yet according to Your great mercy You preserved believing Noah and his family, eight souls in all. You drowned hard-hearted Pharaoh and all his host in the Red Sea, yet led Your people Israel through the water on dry ground, prefiguring this washing of Your Holy Baptism. Through the Baptism in the Jordan of Your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, You sanctified and instituted all waters to be a blessed flood, and a lavish washing away of sin. We pray that You would behold (name) according to Your boundless mercy and bless him with true faith by the Holy Spirit that through this saving flood all sin in him which has been inherited from Adam and which he himself has committed since would be drowned and die. Grant that he be kept safe and secure in the holy ark of the Christian Church, being separated from the multitude of unbelievers and serving Your name at all times with a fervent spirit and a joyful hope, so that, with all believers in Your promise, he would be declared worthy of eternal life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Has Franklin Graham been weak on ecumenism with regard to main line libs and the RCC? Sure, but he hasn't been afraid of the fallout in being outspoken about the Islamic issue which takes gall in a PC world. That being the case, I don't think Trump should capitulate to CAIR on day 1 for the good of the country...regardless of party affiliation. But knowing politics and the kid gloves that Mohammedans are treated with, I won't be surprised if he gets pressured into appeasing them. Hope it's not the case.

In my speech class for Bible College, my teacher use to be a lawyer, he actually debated on the topic, in one of his debates he got this introduction, We had Hitler that hated the Jews, and now we have Dr. Cantrell who hates gays.
In one of our classes he said something that I don't think I'll forget, "Greeks will act like Greeks, it should not surprise us....though we know that what the gays do is disgusting and wrong that gives us no liscense to hate them or treat them bad, if we do we sin, we are to love our neighbor."
He told us that he did debates on the topic, fighting against the acceptance for legalization of marriage of it in the 90's I believe, he was a real sharp and humble man.
We should not hate gay people, we are commanded to love our neighbour, not call them gay and rejoice over our neighbors death.
Pacific Coast or PBC?

Thanks for the biblical message of what saving faith and gratitude look like vs the antinomian false evangelical approach even being taught in reformed seminaries.

In addition to this, the Holy Prophet has encouraged Muslims to recite this prayer according to the following hadith3:
In response to Jim L, perhaps conflicting views, but I think the Muslims killing people do not view the word Allah as generic for deity.

the Holy Prophet has encouraged Muslims to recite this prayer according to the following hadith.

"Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, "To say: Glory be to Allah; Praise be to Allah; there is no god but Allah; and Allah is most great, is dearer to me than everything on which the sun rises."

Clearly they are not the same God and observant Muslims surely would also take issue with this given their refrain "Alla is greater," ...in their deceived view than the true and living God of the Bible.

The other irony with this particular progressive woman and others following her that will don a head covering in solidarity with Mohammedans, but they will wear devotional head cover in accordance with 1 Corinthians 11.
