I was very shocked to learn recently that supposedly many of the top ranking German officers under Hitler were homosexuals. Perhaps there is a link there after all.

Do you folks read your Bible? Do you apply it to your lives? Are you living testimonies of Christ? These comments are all completely unrelated to this article. Praise God people are hungry for the Lord, hopefully. That is exactly what hard times are supposed to do - drive folks to Him.

I could not believe that in this entire article absolutely nothing is mentioned about this act protecting people who want to hurt children. It is absolutely mind-boggling that not only does our congresspeople want to protect people that want to hurt children; even this article did not address this outrageous proposal.

I wonder who they think will buy their oil if the USA can't? If we go down, they - Arabs, China, etc. loose their biggest customer, I think. Of course, things must get bad before the Lord Jesus returns. So, hold onto Him; and be ready!

I think Calvinists and Arminianists both err. I think if we were really wise we would have to say that there is much we do not understand as the Word does have language to both sides. No where in the Word of God does it say that God has chosen some people to go to hell and some people to go to heaven. On the other hand He does say that He is not willing that ANY should perish; but that ALL should come to repentance. One thing IS for certain, He did say we were predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ. And what I want to know is how many of us are conformed to the image of Christ. If the lost have any problem, it is that they know how far short we continue to fall in our "religion". How many of us are so full of the love of Christ that the lost see Him in us, even if they still wouldn't want Him. How many of us can say we have even come close to the apostles. Or is it just easier to pat ourselves on the back as we sit smug in our man made "doctrines" still in great need ourselves of transformation.

I think that there are several different reasons for this state. One, we have made Christainity a head knowledge religion of doctrine rather than knowing Christ and being conformed to His image. We want our own way; and not Christ's. We refuse to allow Him to use circumstances to mold us. We don't want to suffer. We want the good life. Read the authors of 150-200 years ago. Christianity was much different then. I think humanism has crept in as well. The American Heritage Children's Dictionary says meek is putting up with mistreatment patiently without getting angry; patient & humble. Not resisting, struggling or asserting oneself. Jesus said Come to me and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly. In Timothy, Paul says as good soldier of Jesus Christ is not concerned with the affairs of this life; but how we can please our master. How do we please Him? Read the Sermon on the Mount, the Gospels, the Epistles. Romans 12 is a good summation of the Christian life. We should be about our Master's business while we go about the life He has chosen for us learning of Him how to live, and move and have our being. How to respond to folks that come across our path. Let us learn of Him and go forth.

Jesus gave His life so that we could live. He who knew no sin; became sin. He became the thing His Father hated. He had never been separated from His Father until He became sin. He did more for us than we could ever deserve or understand. And He said if we loved Him we would keep His words. Paul commended the Thessalonians for obeying all their instructions given by word or letter. What I don't understand is why our hearts are not so full of love and thankfulness that we are running and eager to all our Lord asks us to do. It seems we just want to go to heaven and we don't want to do anything He asks us to do. I hear all the time--that is not for us, that is not for today, God did not mean THAT; and I'd like to know- said who? I think we should be covered always ready to pray or prophesy in season or out.
