A "hate crimes" plan that opponents have warned will be used to crack down on Christian speech, even the reading of the Bible, is poised to be signed by President Obama, a longtime proponent of the plan to give homosexuals and those with other alternative lifestyles special protections not provided other classes of citizens.
The Senate approved the "hate crimes" plan 68-29 today after Democrats strategically attached it to a "must-pass" $680 billion defense appropriations plan.
Most Republicans, although normally strong supporters of the U.S. military, opposed the plan....
I could not believe that in this entire article absolutely nothing is mentioned about this act protecting people who want to hurt children. It is absolutely mind-boggling that not only does our congresspeople want to protect people that want to hurt children; even this article did not address this outrageous proposal.
The defense authorization bill (with hate bill attached) was passed by the Senate late last Thursday. But, the President isn't expected to consider these bills until "sometime next week."
If you want to do your best to save freedom for yourself and your children, take two minutes right now to cut and paste the following three messages and email Obama at ]]www.whitehouse.gov/contact
1. Mr. President, I will vote out Democrats at mid-terms if you sign the freedom-destroying hate crimes bill.
2. Mr. President, I expect you to keep your promise to veto any military authorization bill that wastes $100 billion of taxpayers' money on unnecessary F-35 jet engines.
3. Mr. President, I will never forgive or forget if you sign away America's sovereignty at the Copenhagen conference in December. Send them repeatedly into next week until the hate bill is vetoed.
With Obama already getting a failing "hate crimes grade" with tens of millions of Americans, let's let him know Monday morning that yet another outrageous assault on freedom would be the biggest mistake he could make, spelling an end to his career and the Democrat majority in Congress
Erik Stanley, "...said he does expect that pastors soon will begin being called to testify in "hate crime" cases in court "as to what that pastor preaches, what the church teaches, what the Bible teaches.""
So, since when do the laws of men ever abrogate the commandments of God?
"Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29
It may certainly be tested, but it will not be a test to see if we will obey men, many will, but rather if we are willing to obey God, RATHER THAN MEN. That, is by far, the more serious concern. Men of God have always been tested in this area. Our generation has had little, very little, UNTIL NOW.
"The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves." Isaiah 3:9
We are being put in a position which will compel us to abandon our present state of ease and indifference, whether we like it or not. This is certainly not a bad thing, but an uncomfortable one...
"...Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye." Acts 4:19
"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13
