Excellent comments/commentary from Frank and s c below.

Funny how there are no absolutes and everything is relative...until someone perceives he or she has been wronged. But then again, how can one be wronged if right and wrong doesn't even exist? Boggles the mind...

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God (see Psalms 14:1 and 53:1). Denying His being and existence truly means anything goes.

@ Jessica Dawson,

I can't really say why, but the Lord has strongly placed you in my heart. I've read some of your previous posts concerning your health issues, and I'm really glad to see you posting again here at SA. I thank God that He has sustained you.

May the Lord richly bless you and your household!

I agree with the emphatic no, Christians should not attend gay "weddings". However, I think Christians should not be hypocritical and still attend heterosexual weddings of those who profess to be Christians and yet are inappropriately getting married after divorcing their last spouse. Jesus said that makes you and your spouse commit adultery. We need to not give our assent or the church's blessing to straight "Christian" weddings that are contrary to the teachings of Christ.
Amen. I have been convicted by the Lord and have thus repented from attending such "remarriage" ceremonies. I've not been to a wedding for several years now. If I'm unfamiliar with the marital history of the bridegroom and/or the bride, I will not go. I don't want to take the chance of attending an event that legalizes adultery; as with sodomite "marriage," this is also unbiblical.

Good comment, Frank. It saddens me that the wickedness and rebellion which is feminism has made such deep inroads in most churches.

What happened to obeying God rather than men (Acts 5:29)?

Lady_Virtue is one who has learned so well that she shines on these threads. Good for you, sister! Your sisters would do well to take note of your godly attitude. But don't get puffed up because I said that. God forbid.
Greetings, John UK, from across the pond.

Thank you for the kind words, including the admonition not to get puffed up. I always need such reminders.

To God be all the glory!

Frank,

Your comment @ 12:22 p.m. on 2-12-15 gets no argument from me. I agree with you completely. You've simply stated the Biblical truth about women, which many find hard to accept in this wicked feminist age.

Well said, brother; well said. I'm blessed by your comments. God bless you.

You are likely right. And it's hardly surprising that any politician would lie about anything.

Michael Hranek,

Thank you for your comment, and may God bless and grow you. The Lord has matured me much, but I still have a long way to go. I'm grateful that He forbears with me and is longsuffering.

Yep, that leapt out at me, too. Where there is a female "pastor," false teaching will follow.

"...that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God" (Luke 16:15).

I've gotten to the point where, if the world is running after something and hyping it up, I'm immediately suspect. It seems spectacles such as the Super Bowl are quite worldly in nature (immodest dress, idolatry, pop music, etc.). Thus, I've opted to come out from among it and be separate.

Echoing Frank in commending SF from TX's comments on this subject. Modest dresses and skirts are a great way to display femininity. Pants are masculine...which is fine for a man, but not a woman.

West Hollywood is like a greenwich village gone wild. Very flamboyant, it's a sodomites paradise, like Province town up my way, and I'm pretty sure W. Hollywood's Mayer is one of the crew. Gay pride parades, W. Hollywood sidewalk stars that cater to their most respected supporters, etc. Well, I guess these sorts of situations are in many areas of the country, but some are much more in your face than others. The times we are witness to is really something.
Yes, it's hardly surprising that such a requirement would occur in West Hollywood. After all, they are known for championing and propagating this type of wickedness. Best to come out from among them and be ye separate.

“ Great Sermon! ”
These kind of pull no punches, sacred cow smashing, sobering sermons causing conviction and demanding repentance are much needed in the apostate, worldly churches of America today. May the Lord continue to strengthen you to expose and demolish idols. God bless you and your ministry.

Frank wrote:
How many professing married Christian “male” athletes with children have we seen quit their respective sports while they are still at the top of their sport so they could be with their families? I’m sure we all realize that these athletes do not travel with their families, especially if they have small children and they must spend an abnormal amount of time away from their wives and children. Now few of us even consider this behavior to be against God’s call and design for marriage because these athletes are making millions of dollars. While at the same time if someone in a lower paying, less prestigious job “chooses” to do the same thing most of us would rightfully remind them of their scriptural responsibilities. Is this not the height of hypocrisy and relativism on our parts? Are we really willing to say that God’s commandments are different for the rich, famous and talented than for those who are making minimum wages? Christian men are not called upon by God to entertain people and to make millions of dollars at the expense of their familial duties.
Yes, Frank; good point. These athletes are continually confronted with strange women enticing them to commit adultery, drugs, parties, etc.

Dorcas, God's blessings to you!

Dorcas, thank you for posting this. I listened yesterday and will likely listen again. We need more pull no punches preaching like this that smashes idols and sacred cows few men of God dare touch with a 10 foot pole.

It is simply impossible for anyone to be elected in a high political office and be a practicing Christian.
Very well said, Frank. It seems compromise is unavoidable. Acutally believing the Bible and living out its truths is too much for the voting public to take.

It seems to me that there is almost no significance in identifying oneself as "Christian" these days. If you're prone to acting like the heathen (e.g., not preferring others above self, loving the world and its vain offerings and philosophies, etc.), then what is the point?

Very few seem to have that salt and light distinctiveness about themselves for Christ's sake in this wicked generation.

Articles like this remind me of the all-out assault against masculinity in this wicked culture. God made us male and female; different, but complementary. Effeminacy in men and masculinity in women causes both sexes to suffer, as it's out of alignment with God's design.
