A Famine of the Word

“ How Solemnly True!!! ”
It is as you have preached it Mr Knapp and perhaps the evil that exists is worse then one could possibly conceive. I have been out of church for 15 years greiving at what passes for religion today I have often been in depression of spirit often mouring often crying to my God about this famine but the only reply the Lord gives me is, this is my judgement upon an apostate people and ministers alike.

“ Excellent Sermon!!! ”
God does NOT love all. Deuteronomy 32:39 "Now see that I,even I,am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand." Malachi 1:2b "Was not Esau Jacob's brother?" Says the Lord, Yet Jacob I have loved; But Esau I have hated." And Romans 9:13 "As it is written,"Jacob I have loved, but esau I have hated." Psalm 5:4,5,6. Verse 5b "You hate all workers of iniquity." Verse 6a "You shall destroy those who speak falsehood." Psalm 11:5 " The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His (God's)soul hates." God Almighty is a Holy and Righteous God. He has the right, and is entitled to say that homosexuality is depraved behaviour and an abomination to Himself and His true church. It is not their behaviour alone that is an abomination, it is their whole being. By their fruits you will know them. Not judging, just discerning and speaking God's truth and His laws. God's richest blessings pastor Curtis, for having the decency and courage to contend for the truth and Word of our Lord and Saviour, amen!

“ Politically-Incorrect Needed Sermon! ”
It is noteworthy that at the conclusion of June, Gay Pride month (endorsed by President Obama, America's first "Gay President", per Time Magazine), a major Dorecho storm with extremely hot and high temperatures, with rare temps over 100 degrees, swept from Ohio to West Virginia, Virginia and Washington D.C., causing power blackouts for over 2 million in these areas, places which hosted Gay Pride rallies with their rainbow banners and where President Obama campaigned recently. D.C. in particular was hit very hard. That as well as high national temperatures and fires in Colorado. The wrath of God is revealed in June...as Romans teaches.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Luke 6:22-23 Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they cut you off, and will reproach you, and will cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man; rejoice in that day, and leap for joy; for, behold, your reward is much in Heaven! For their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent description of repentance - "throw down the weapons of your warfare against God". True, until God grants repentance there is no hope of real blessing in the land. An improved economy would no sign of blessing.

“ Deep Insightful Sermon! ”
God loves us but He hates sin and He must punish sinful acts because God is perfect and He cannot accept sin in His "life." When God shows His love, it is because His love is perfect, it does not include any imperfect definition of love by any sinners. Repentance has to be involved in love -- whether God accepts or the sinner gives up his sin, then God shows His love. Love is not dependent on how the sinner views love, God loves in His definition of love and that is perfect.

I have always loved to hear you preach GOD,s Word and i thank you for again preaching "sound doctrine". All those in Christ will suffer persecution and so the repercussions from your sermon will make some free and the gnashing of teeth from those given over to a reprobate mind. May GOD continue to bless you Curtis for we praise Him for the true men of GOD like yourself.....

“ It will be all right. ”
God loves us all. Even the gays, lesbians, and transgendered folk out there. He even loves those with such hate in their hearts that they feel the need to put others down for who they are. Who are we to judge, as creatures of God? I think we learned this sort of thing in pre-school. Respect other people.

“ Great Sermon! ”
After hearing all the negative commens about your sermon, I had to find and listen to it.I find your words to be accurate on the subject matter and only that some have taken only one statement, which is correct, out of text. This seems to be a favorite pastime of some, and they use these out of text to destroy the work of those that follow the scripture. I thankyou for delivering God's word as it is written, without adding text that is not in the scripture.. After listening I found only difference in our belief, that pertaining to food law. I read that we can eat "what was created to be recieved". This in my opinion, is between me and my maker...THANKYOU AGAIN FOR A GREAT AND TRUTHFUL SERMON

“ Great Truths! ”
Like Eve I'm a former RC. Mercifully saved by the Lord in 1984. The doctrine of election is practically unknown in New Zealand. Christians have in the main never heard of it and if they have they simply will not believe it because on the whole it's just not taught. The main excuse is that it makes God unfair. They just don't have any appreciation of original sin and human depravity. Most churches in my country are Arminian to the core. Thank the Lord He rescued me from Catholicism and then from Protestant Arminianism (which is simply another form of Roman Catholicism). However, where I live there are no churches which preach the reformed doctrines of salvation. So thank you Pastor Knapp for your uplifting message and you raised a very pertinent point which is "Does Arminian preaching truly save the lost?
