Great Sermon! Thank You!! A timely sermon for me as I recently befriended a new believer battling with depression. I always thought I was not qualified to help them but by God’s grace through this timely exposure to this knowledge, I am now empowered by the Holy Spirit and the word of God !!!! I can only say our all knowing God - His mercy and love - words cannot eve. Begin to describe.
Great Sermon! I just want to concur with others in this section. You don't know who I am and I'm not saying this is strong evidence for discontinuing medication, but I've struggled for most of my life, years with depression and anxiety. This sermon marked a turning point in my life, nearing the end of many years of taking SSRIs and SNRIs to try to treat my depression and anxiety. For a long time, I held on to those medications, not just hoping that they were treating my anxiety or depression but clinging to them, unwilling to see how I would feel if I tried not taking them, because I believed that discontinuing them would lead to far worse effects. Medications and psychotherapy did not change my behavior or sanctify my thoughts. It took God's sanctifying grace to make Him the object of my desire and the desire to obey him that eventually motivated me to change. I couldn't find it in this world as a beaten down individual who had long been alienated by his peers throughout school, exacerbating my anxiety, depression, and further isolating myself from society. Eventually, I discontinued psychotropic medications and although I still struggle with depression and anxiety, I can't point to medications as having made me better other than notably turning me into an individual with flattened affect.
COLOSSAL SERMON. MASSIVE KNOWLEDGE This was a massive sermon. I struggled hugely with Schizoaffective disorder simce 2010 or 2011. You wont believe what happened to me. I dont take my medicines anymore. I am so so much healthy amd never been as fit. I aint saying u should quit too
What i say is that please please please please cling on to God.
What problem is so huge that you cant fix it by prayer? Seek His grace.
I was a huge smoker
I quit smoking only through prayers. It happened on nov 18 2017. You could never see anyone who smoked like me
Dont be discouraged. God answers all of your prayers and He is a generous God.
The sermon was amazing. And pastor, you are a man of great knowledge, wisdom, heart and character
It was an awesome sermon.
Great Sermon! Thank you Pastor Baucham
for taking a stand on this subject.
Your message was TRUTH!
Please pray for our son.
For 2 years we have been dealing with our adult son being on psychotropic drugs for what the world calls schizophrenia.
Great Sermon! This was the best message/sermon I've ever heard on marriage and Christianity. It touched my spirit and soul. I shared it with my husband. I hope it touches his spirit and soul as well. Enough to come home.
Great Sermon! Its so clearly laid down in scripture but just how do so many college educated, seminary trained and pulpit experienced pastors don't believe or just avoid the doctrine of Election (including my own pastor)?
Outstanding and inspiring Wow! Outstanding, challenging and inspiring sermon on the seriousness of marriage and the absolute truth that Divorce is NEVER an option for the Christian and shouldn’t be for any married couple
It saddens me and deeply distresses me that there are ministers who advocate and support the so called get out clause to believers should they feel they have the right to end a marriage for adultery, abandonment and physical abuse from their spouse. Historically and in the New Teatament there is No such thing as legitimate divorce ever. Jewish betrothal yes for the reason of immortality but never when married in the absolute legal sense and before the Lord. Pastors who advocate the get out clause should search their hearts and the scriptures in order that thwy come back to the Permanance of Marriage view for the Lords glory and for this amazing one and for all union between a man and a woman, as it beautifully represents the the everlasting union between Christ (Our Spouse) and (all believers) His bride. For who God has joined together let no man put asunder
Great Sermon! Please read 'Footsteps of the Messiah' by A. Fruchtenbaum. I think it will help anyone wondering which approach to take (?) to understand the value of Revelation is to order the events already revealed in the old testament leading up to the 2nd Coming. With over 550 references to OT Prophecy this is pretty obvious - once pointed out! The general approach taken by the speaker is only taken (in my opinion) when there is no detailed line upon line study (an approach we take in every other book but often neglected in Revelation). Therefore what is left is a simplistic interpretation to basically make people feel good that God is in control. Yes He is. But that somplistic view is such a shadow it is completely unsatisfactory for anyone who has studied in detail. Again...read the book. That will open doors to what in the end is Gods agenda. Far more important than ours. God bless.
A Must Listen For those who say that Gods Law has no bearing for the New Testament believer should also listen to Albert Martins sermon entilted "The Fear of God in the Bible" which not only shows crystal clear that Fearing God and His holiness is absolutely biblical from Genesis through to Revelation (Old and New Testament) for all those who rightly divide the word of God will see that even in eternity - just like the angels of God - will love and reverentially Fear the Lord; just like a child who, although they love their father and realise that their father deepely loves them, they, knowing that their father is the head of the household and family will also respect and have a healthy fear of him too. The Fear of the Lord is the begiining of wisdom and will always be the case
Also, brother Voddie argued tge entire way through the sermon that the Sabbath is a command for us tge church, yet he was basing it solely on Exodus 16, which was a specific command given to the Israelites. The Lord's day is a day of worship, but it's not the Sabbath. The Jewish Sabbath under the Old Covenant was a day of physical rest, not a day of worship. And I'm a member of a 1689 Confessional church.
Great Sermon! We, the church have NEVER been under law, if we are Gentiles. As New Covenant believers, we have the requirements of the law written on our hearts and minds. Israel alone, under the Old Covenant were under the Mosaic law, which is why they alone were required to keep the Sabbath. Furthermore, this is why the Epistles are not merely absolutely silent on tbe requirement or command for Gentile (or Jewish for that matter) believers to keep the Sabbath day, or that it had changed to the Lord's day, it actually tells us that Christ is our Sabbath rest, that it's up to each individual to decide which day is holy, and that we Gentiles are not under the Decalogue (Acts 15), and as i stated have NEVER been so, but are under Christ's law of love. Hallelujah.
Liberalism: Preparing the world for the Antichrist Liberalism in all shapes or forms is preparing the world for the coming of the Antichrist. Enough said.
Great Sermon! Today's liberal denominations, namely those associated with the World Council of Churches, Baptist World Alliance, World Methodist Council, World Communion of Reformed Churches, Lutheran World Federation, and other liberal associations of denominations are responsible for the spread of apostasy in the 20th century. Of course, these liberal apostate organizations are just like the snowball rolling down the mountain. They grow until they implode at the bottom. Rest assured, these liberal apostate organizations are destined for destruction.
Until then, we must oppose these liberal apostate associations of denominations since they are preparing the world for the coming of the Antichrist.
Ummmm ..... There are some great observations in this sermon and valid points made regarding salvation by grace alone. However discussing the Abrahamic Covenant and TOTALLY disregarding the promise of the land is a dead giveaway that plain meanings of Scripture would be ignored in order to perpetuate the myth that national Israel has no future purpose in Gods plans. My thoughts echo those of J C Ryle - “What I protest is the habit of allegorising the plain sayings of the Word of God concerning the future history of the nation of Israel, and explaining away the fullness of their contents in order to accommodate them to the Gentile Church”
Great Sermon! It's encouraging to hear balanced teaching on marriage, which is one of the enemy's favorite attacks. We men need to love our wives as Christy loves the church. Ouch! God bless you Voddie.
Great Sermon! To teach on 'Revelation' is so necessary. Thank you brother for attempting it.
Like to make one comment for the moment.
It is my view that all the common views all have their place in understanding how the Book relates in human history.
What is most important is that we read, hear and obey what is written. After all is is about Jesus Christ our Lord and God. Thank You Father for giving it to Jesus.
