In an age when Christians seek therapy before the seek the Lord, it is important to be reminded that God is a primary, not a secondary source when it comes to healing hurting marriages. Far from being silent on the issue of conflict resolution, the Bible has much to say on the subject.
VERY POWERFUL What a powerful sermon!
I wish there was a way that every Christian in America could hear this sermon. Even those who are not married.
Voddie did an excellent job - by the Spirit - in reminding Christians of their responsibility before God.
Marriage is not about your/my Happiness. It is about HIS Glory!
Thanks Voddie.
May EVERY Christian Wife fall to her knees in repentance before God, for her lack of biblical submission.
May EVERY Christian Husband fall to his knees in repentance before God, for his lack of LOVE toward his wife.
If Voddie's explanation of Biblical Repentance is understood and embraced, it would be impossible to say I forgive him/her "but I can't forget."
"Father it is my prayer that you will use this Word as a powerful sword in your hand to break the hearts of so many professing Christians that have thrown in the towel. Give us the POWER to stop living for self (2 Cor. 5:14,15).

Great Sermon! This is an excellent sermon on why marriages are broken-- one word: selfishness and idolatry. I am a military spouse who constantly sees marriages break apart...
Thank you, I enjoyed hearing your sermon and it's a great reminder to love my husband as Jesus Christ loves the church.

Praise the Lord, Above! Somehow, I have got to get my husband, who has told me "I am DONE!" to listen to this! Pray that the Lord will provide a way. Thank you for your head on approach. You are doing a great work for the Lord!

So clearly spoken. As always, Voddie says it so simply that no one can argue the Truth found in scripture, and the many ways we excuse ourselves from being responsible to that Truth by complicating something that's not complicated: Jesus' love for us and the church to which we belong.
Praise be to Him for giving me my wife!

Ouch! Okay...so that really hit home. What a great kick in the pants (so to speak!)
