It really comes down to the parents doing the job God ordained them to do.

I wonder if Eric Mazur used a 40 minute lecture to argue his point?

Is evolution a religion?

Religion can be defined as a set of beliefs for which one is willing to kill or die for.

Millions of people have been killed in the name of evolution. It would seem that the instigators were very religious indeed.

On the other side are christians who would certainly not be prepared to die for what they believe in. If they are not then even if they are regular church attenders then their christianity is not a religion regardless of their protestations.

"...he described his belief that biblical passages criticising homosexual sex were not aimed at people who were gay by nature."

Does this mean that if I'm sinful by nature then the passages criticising sin are not aimed at me!? Woohoo! And to think that all this time I've been worrying about getting away from sin.

If,
Christians are good for Jesus,
Jews are good for Yahweh
Islamics are good for Mohammad,
Hindus are good for Krishna,
Buddhists are good for Buddha

then does that mean that

Atheists are good for nothing?

Jim Lincoln You must not have been looking hard enough for those verses. You obviously missed the story of Jesus driving out the money changers and other marketeers from the temple yelling "My father's house is called a house of prayer but you have made it a den of robbers!"

He also upset the authorities which, strangly enough, resulted in his crucifixion.
