“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent teaching! The Psalm 14 'Fool' (atheist) proves very difficult, indeed impossible to teach the truth to. When we factor in sin, spiritual discernment and faith the gift of God we are left with an 'unteachable' fool. Thus do we arrive at election by God and atheism as a trial and trib for Christians. Atheism then seems to be an inevitable proof of God's absolutely essential involvement in conversion. Thus proving His existence. Thankyou!

I have just stumbled upon these comments and am saddened at how each one is trying to outdo the other (pride). Why not do what Christ did and LOVE the BRETHREN of the faith. After all, Those that are destined for salvation have already been chosen before the foundation of the world. All the bickering and pride will not change anything except your character to one of SELF rightousness instead of God's rightousness.
Preach the WORD in TRUTH and leave the conviction to the Holy Spirit, where it belongs.
God's blessings to all of you.

God's View of Homosexuality, Pt. 1
Pastor John MacArthur

“ Good Teaching ”
Thankyou John MacArthur! This teaching is so much needed today in your country and in mine and in western nations in general. The simple and powerful fact that homosexuality is sin really needs to be rammed home to our people. BTW You really need to send this tape to President Obama and his party. The fact that they have legislated to send people to hell must be brought home to them. God Bless!

Rev (Dr) Jeffrey Khoo

“ Excellent points raised ”
Thankyou Dr Khoo for some excellent points raised as to the KJB and its superiority to the modern versions. I loved the point you raised that to hold to a doctrine of inspiration 'without' preservation is illogical. Brilliant point and true. Thankyou.

“ Looking at History ”
Excellent teaching and the Reformed way of observing Vatican Rome's connection to Pagan Rome and its idolatrous gods. The Beast of the papacy in Rev 13, and how we can see the prediction validated in the Roman Catholic church. Thankyou Mr. Mencarow.

True Prayer -- True Power!
C. H. Spurgeon

“ Practical Advice! ”
Good practical advice by a good practical preacher. Prayer is absolutely essential to our life and struggle. All to often we take prayer for granted and forget to be objective and positive in the power of prayer which the Lord has given us to do. Excellent Spurgeon again!

As some of you may have noticed, "John UK" has been absent for quite some time from Sermon Audio. I have had a little contact with him through email and he is currently having "technical difficulties." He has been communicating with Sermon Audio trying to find a solution to the problem, but obviously without any success. It is uncertain whether it is his own computer or whether SA has inadvertently blocked him (If that's the case, they have been unable to unblock him). He has kept up reading the posts but is unable to submit any posts himself. I, for one, really miss his input. And he misses inputting!
Please pray that this may be resolved soon.
Thanks! Alan H
Cheers Alan.

And John
If you are reading me old turnip, looking forward to you rejoining the gang soon. God be with you.

A Merry Christmas
or
A merry pagan festival
or
A Happy Hanikkah
or
A very merry whatever
to
one and all.

And don't forget 'ALL' authority comes from God. So pray for those in authority, eg that nice Mr. Obama and Mr. Cameron et al.
Why?.....
Because God says so.....

1Tim 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for *ALL THAT ARE IN AUTHORITY;* that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Have a great weekend.

20 Easter Errors in Versions
D. A. Waite, Th.D., Ph.D.
1
comment
“ Bible Warning ”
Powerful and essential message on the omissions in the NIV and NASB, which demonstrates the doctrinal errors and the attacks on the deity of Christ, observed in modern versions. This message reveals the necessity of retaining and using the KING JAMES VERSION of the Word of God, for Christians everywhere. Thank you Dr. Waite.

“ Great Teaching ”
Another puritan with great Bible teaching and practical Biblical know how. C.H.Spurgeon was one of Alleine's fans and I can see why in the way he handles and communicates Bible truth. This lecture is well worth the time spent on listening and confirming your own conversion. Quote, "Prove your conversion and then never doubt your election." Quote, "If you will not feed on the Word, then you will choke on the bones." Excellent teacher as always with the Puritan's. Thankyou!

Characteristics of Faith
C. H. Spurgeon
1
comment
“ Great Sermon! ”
Characteristics of Faith! When we think of these characteristics we remember that Faith is the gift of God. When we look deeply at the characteristics of Faith we perceive that it is a work which mere man cannot perform, mere sinner cannot achieve. That is when we see Faith the glorious gift of God in Christ and the working of the Holy Spirit. CHS at his best as usual. Thankyou Charles Koelsch.

The Shield of Faith
C. H. Spurgeon
1
comment
“ Great Sermon! ”
Not just Faith - But the Shield of Faith. A promise of God that our faith will protect us as Christians. We forget sometimes in the midst of struggle that God has provided us with His Armour and we continue in our battle with fear. But we are protected by Faith as a shield against all the firey darts both inside us and outside from dark forces and an evil world. Thankyou Charles Koelsch.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent message by Dr Barnett. Illustrates how far the Roman church is from the Scripture truth and doctrines. Protestants would do well to hear these facts with a view to reach out to the Catholics and reveal their errors to them. Thankyou John Barnett.

Sermon:
Why we should use the Scottish Psalter
Rev David Silversides
1
comment
“ Excellent ”
This is a fascinating and engrossing message. Well done Rev. Silversides! The history of the Scottish Psalter and the extraordinary translation work from the Hebrew which went into it, is all to sadly a story which many Christians do not know or appreciate. The learned men of God who put so much academic and erudite expertise into this wee book, by God's grace, is a historic pleasure to behold indeed. Thank you David Silversides. A well recommended sermon to hear!

“ Papal Antichrist ”
Excellent historic and intelligent arguement for the Papacy as the Antichrist. Dr. Wylie puts forward a formidable arguement to his conviction and clearly follows the Reformers in his opinion. Certainly a lecture worth listening to (including parts 2 & 3 also on SA) and considering today. Thankyou SWRB

“ KJV. The REAL Bible ”
Thankyou Rev.D Blunt For an excellent message and timely teaching. "Bible doctrine is at stake!" Rev.D Blunt declares and he is absolutely correct. Do you really have the Bible? - Or is it a modern version? The turnover of modern versions these last few decades should warn the church that there is something wrong here! Satan's temptation of Eve, "Did God really say that?" The devil seeks to undermine the Word of God. Of course he will try to rewrite it in erroneous terms and doctrines. But Christ states, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." How else may God carry out this promise, but by ensuring HIS WORD reaches His Elect. God preserves His Word! Whilst the modern versions add and takeaway from the Bible.

Sadly with Ian,s departure, the house of commons has lost it`s most well known Contender of the Faith. My only question is How did Ian Paisley keep himself pure in such a cess pit & With another exposure of corruption by MP`s, it`s all downhill from here. The house of Commons,,,what a den of thieves & robbers
Ah Cliff, you forgot the wee secret. All Christians live in a cess pit called humanity. As for these other politicians they are part of the great unwashed and will go to hell, which is the great sadness.

How did Ian Paisley keep himself pure - I am sure Ian himself would be the first to admit he is the chief of sinners. But the great promise of his Lord, your Lord and our Lord is.......
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

God does not call us to serve in the "safe" places.

Rev Ian Paisley was a man of his word, - and a man of "His Word."
Westminster, Stormont and this United Kingdom will be the sadder for his leaving. God be with him and indeed with this nation. Amen!

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people."

The best news article of the year, of the century, of the millennia of all time.

A merry Christmas to all who read this.
A merry Whatever if you don't accept this celebration at this time.
May God be with you and yours and may your life belong to Christ and His purpose. Amen.
May the Lord pour out His Spirit upon all.

1 Let brotherly love continue.
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
