Hi Remo and Susan,

People like JD that believe in free will are self-righteous and think they are the source of all knowlegde. They have a mean spirit and do not show forth the love of Christ in their hearts.

JD
“He is the only man I have ever met in my life, that claims to be a Christian, that tries to get others to understand that 'GOD IS HATE'! It has been his message on this forum and he has blasphemed greatly, IMO!”

Once again you deny the Scriptures and also misrepresent what Anthony stated! Anthony showed from Scripture that God does hate NOT that God is hate!

God does hate and His hate is perfect.

(Psa 5:5) The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

(Psa 11:4) The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

(Psa 11:5) The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

(Psa 11:6) Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and a horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

(Psa 139:21) Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

(Psa 139:22) I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

(Mal 1:3) And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

(Rom 9:13) As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

born - ghen-nah'-o
From a variation of G1085; figuratively to regenerate: - bear, beget, be born, bring forth, conceive, be delivered of, gender, make, spring.

again - an'-o-then
From G507; from above; by analogy from the first; by implication anew: - from above, again, from the beginning (very first), the top.

DB,

You said, "He tasted death for every man, he shed his blood to atone for the sins of every man, but only applied to those who were drawn by the Holy Spirit's conviction to the saving knowledge of Christ."

You acknowledged that one has to be first drawn of the Holy Spirit to the saving knowledge of Christ. Can someone who is dead in sin and trespasses be saved without the Holy Spirit's work of regeneration?

If no, is the Holy Spirit governed by the will of man or by His own purpose which is the will of God?

Then who will the Holy Spirit regenerate from sin to life and righteousness in Christ? The Holy Spirit regenerates those called and elected of the Father and have been redeemed through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

2Th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Michael,

It is apostates who trample under foot the precious blood of Christ. Those who are in open rebellion against the truth of God and the doctrines of Christ.

Marita,

You said, "I just dropped-by. I can see that our tribe is growing."

Yes it is true, but synergism, free will arminianism has always had huge followers. This is because it is carnal and not spiritual. The natural man is born an arminian and that is why regeneration of the Holy Spirit needs to take place before a person can truly repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

DB,

Jacob Arminius: "But in his lapsed and sinful state, man is not capable, of and by himself, either to think, to will, or to do that which is really good; but it is necessary for him to be regenerated and renewed in his intellect..."

So do you acknowledge that regeneration precedes faith?

Therefore, Jacob Arminius contradicts himself and Scripture when he says man has a free will but he doesn't without divine grace. What sense does this make?

Jacob Arminius: "Yet none of these acts could he do, except through the assistance of Divine Grace."

DB,

I believed because the Holy Spirit first regenerated me. There was no free will choice involved. I am not synergistic like you and the Roman Catholic Church.

I don't believe it is my responsibility to save my soul. I can't save my soul, it is impossible. Salvation is of the Lord and He grants me faith and repentance.

DB, Yamil and Michael,

Salvation is of the Lord and not our free will.

Was your will ever in bondage to sin, Satan and the world? I guess you people have always had a free will. You have never been held captive as a sinner? Only the self-righteous advocate a free will.

DB, Yamil and Michael,

I know the truth hurts and thats why you can't handle it and revert to lies and sarcasm. God will be the judge between us and judge every word we speak. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

DB,

To believe in synergism which is free will/arminianism then you are in much agreement with the Roman Catholic Church who are also synergistic.

A Roman Catholic will also admit that man has a free will to choose Christ.

Arminians also practice infant baptism such as Methodists and Anglicans and have there own set of traditions. Anabaptists also have there own set of traditions.

Do you celebrate the Roman Catholic Christmas and Easter holidays?

To DB, Michael, JD and Yamil,

You are more in agreement to Roman Catholism then you are aware of. They also believe in free will salvation. You are all synergistic in belief.
The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

The Reformation was a result of completely separating from the apostate RCC and back to the liberating truths of Scripture and the doctrines of grace.

Yamil,

To understand the Scriptures one must be taught of the Holy Spirit to compare spiritual things with spiritual.

World does not mean everyone in the whole world without exception and this we know by comparing doctrine with the entire Word of God as it has been demonstrated.

To make a doctrine out of one single verse from the immediate context is dangerous without first examining and comparing the entire thought of Scripture.

"Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
(1Corinthians 2:13)

Let the Sword of the Lord say so! Hebrews 4:12

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why does He condemn the world?

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
(1Co 11:32)

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why did He spare not the old world bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly?

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the ****world of the ungodly****
(2Pe 2:5)

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why does He not deliver them out of temptations but reserves the unjust unto the day of judgement?

2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why did He burn up Sodom and Gomorrah and all the inhabitants?

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly;
(2Pe 2:6)

Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
(Gen 19:24)

Hi Mike,

You said “There are some who refute the biblical understanding of this term, and teach that God loves every person equally with the same love that he has for His own redeemed, but they do so without understanding that the love of God is found in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, and all outside of this union with Christ are currently under condemnation, and the wrath of God present tense abideth upon them.”

What you said is so true that the love of God is found ONLY in the beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ and that if anyone is outside this union with Christ are presently under condemnation and the wrath of God.

Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why didn’t Christ die for the whole world, everyone without exception?

Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Joh 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep

Not the goats!

Mat 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Not all without exception but many!

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Not for all without exception but the church!

Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Once again, not all without exception but many!

Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

His people not everyone without exception

Hi everyone,

It doesn't matter what is said about John Calvin, he was just a man like we all are, and if we were in those times we might have a better understanding of things. However, the doctrines of grace were before Calvin, for John Wycliff was the morning star of the Reformation and before him God had his elect preaching the gospel unto sinners that the apostles did preach and what Christ did preach. God never changes and His truth never changes.

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Hebrews 13:8)

Let the Sword of the Lord say so! Hebrews 4:12

Does God love the heretic?

Tit 3:10-11 A man that is a heretic after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why does he call sinners to repentance and not the righteous?

Luk 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Does God love the reprobates?

2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why did He hate Esau?

Rom 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Let the Sword of the Lord say so!

Yamil, DB and Michael,

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why does He tell us, love not the world and that if we do, the love of the Father is not in us?

(1Jo 2:15) Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why does He tell us that the friendship of the world is enmity (an enemy; ill will; hatred) with Him and that if we be a friend of the world we are an enemy of God?

(Jam 4:4) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why didn’t He pray for the world?

(Joh 17:9)… I pray not for the world…

If God loves everyone in the whole world without exception why does He curse the man who loves not the Lord Jesus Christ?

(1Co 16:22) If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.
(Let them be cursed for the Lord cometh)
