I don't know what all of the school attendance and truancy laws are in the UK are but here in the United States, most everyone that I know from a Christian home (even nominal ones) have pulled their kids out of Babylon's school system and either teach them at home or enroll them in private Christians schools. And it's driving the teacher's union nuts.

Dr. Tim wrote:
If the Democrats gain control of the government, you can say goodbye to religious freedom. And Jim Lincoln, who claims to be a Christian, is on their side. Jim Lincoln, who pretends to be appalled by the queers, wants them to have complete control. Jim Lincoln, who opposes everything Trump says and does because Trump is not a Christian, wants us to vote for candidates who are not only not Christians, but who despise Christianity and want to outlaw it. And yet newcomers to SA wonder why I’m so hard on poor ol’ Jim. I guess I should just mollycoddle him. Him and the devil.
Dr. Tim, I followed these SA threads and commented often for many years but I simply could not take anymore of Jim Lincoln. I cannot understand how a man can have the time to sit all day and comment on every flipping thing that happens here. He is just too much. He's wrong about most of what he says and he doesn't seem to know anything that he doesn't parrot from "Gil Rugh" (whoever that is). I've complained to SA as have others but to no avail. Makes me wonder if he's not an in-house troll assigned with stirring things up and just aggravating the daylights out of everyone. There is no telling how many good folks would still be on SA if not for Jim "Links" Lincoln.

US, you appear to have COMPLETELY missed the point of my first post. Railed on the attendees? I didn't say one word about the attendees. What people do with their time and money is their business, not mine. I certainly didn't say anything negative about SermonAudio. I love SermonAudio. Where did you find any of that in my comment(s)?
My thoughts were pointed only and directly at these same men who make a very handsome living going around from conference to conference, sitting on a platform in expensive suits with their legs crossed, pandering to each other and talking to the attendees as if they are ignorant boobs who need to be set straight by their condescending Christian heroes.
Whenever I look at the news headings on SermonAudio there are usually 3 or 4 of these gatherings scheduled somewhere with the same shining, grinning (PR shot) faces at each one. Sometimes I think if I see Joel Beeke's face again I'm going to scream. This has obviously become a very lucrative business.
Here's the point: These speakers are not the apostles. They are regular men with the same Bible we all have access to. Constantly putting them on a pedestal - for a fee! - as if they own some grand spiritual secret that simply must be shared with the hoi polloi is just plain ridiculous.

1. Don't tell me what to do. Who are you? You don't even identify by your real name. Apparently you're pretty impressed with yourself to be bossing around grown people.
2. What does that even mean? What site? What evil deeds? Can you answer or counter my comments or do you just offer snide remarks?
3. If the site you're referring to (sarcastically) is SermonAudio, I've been commenting here since 2000. I'll certainly not stop because of you.

I'm not "falsely accusing" anybody and be assured I'm certainly not speculating. I'm sure I've got a much better idea of what these guys make than you think and it ain't peanuts. That's why there are so many "conferences" with the same group of celebrity religious stars pandering to each other and giving each other accolades over and over again. And I mean the same guys over and over, conference after conference. How much exactly to you think the apostles were paid for their gathering in Jerusalem (Acts 15)? I don't know but most of them suffered hardship thru the years and were ultimately killed for their faith. Do you see anything like that happening to these professional religious men in expensive suits? I sure don't. Just more of the cult of personality.

Wait! I've got this one! It's yet ANOTHER opportunity for a gathering of the same men who are at every other gathering (or "conference") to make even more money and adulation by going around being religious without having to get their hands dirtied with hospital visits and drunken parishioners calling at 3 in the morning. Am I wrong? Seems to me like the "conference" business is a very lucrative one indeed. Kind of like "Christian cruises".

This may be the first time I've ever known of Jim Lincoln to actually add something useful to a SA conversation.
The problem isn't the Bible (although The Message is hardly a Bible) in the government schools. The problem is that there are Christian parents who care no more about their children than to send them into these statist monstrosities.

Easter

“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent, thought provoking sermon. I appreciate your loyalty to the King James Bible and your understanding of the importance of not questioning or correcting God's word. If your position on Easter here is correct - and it may very well be - shouldn't we be observing the resurrection of Christ on the 17th day of the first month (the actual day He arose) every year rather than changing the date around like we currently do? Something to think about.

“ Another Great Sermon! ”
Another excellent sermon. I love to listen to (and watch) Mr. Watts. When I listen to many preachers, it sounds as though they are trying to convince themselves. When I listen to Mr. Watts, I hear a man telling me something he KNOWS.

Whether it was intended to be or not, that was by far the best evangelistic sermon I've ever heard. I watched and listened to it twice today and plan to share it with others this week. Thank you!

“ Great Sermon! ”
Excellent sermon and certainly very practical for me personally. I've been meditating over Ephesians 5 all day today and Mr. Watts' words here were the perfect follow-up. Thank you! (I only wish that you had included the rest of the singing from Psalm 119 at the end - what a blessing).
