Great Sermon! Wouldn't it make sense to add repent and believe to number 5 at the end of this sermon? Otherwise you built your own case against 5 before presenting it. Regardless, I can't say how much I appreciate your sermons. Yesterday I was relieved to finally hear someone make sense as to why I don't attend church in your sermon Ivory Houses & Fat Cows: The Excessive Nonsense of the Modern Christian Church. It gave me a renewed sense of hope that my frustration was not in vain but in part was even if not entirely biblical. I hope you're well. Thank you!
The stream works just GREAT! Thank you SO much for providing this! PBS and WVB have been a priceless resource, but this is truly special! I am very excited and look forward to joining you all here for these broadcasts!
This guy called our church several months ago. Claiming he had been to our church. The article is right he was smooth I tried asking him several questions to trip him up. There was just one problem He claimed he visited our church which unbeknown to him is very small. I knew right away he was lying. I contacted the police in the town from Florida he said he was from but of course the could do nothing. I contacted several new outlets in the area figuring they would warn others but they did nothing. Thanks for posting the article. God bless.
It's interesting to note that Dr. Carrier is dismissing the resurrection because of the same reason Bertrand Russell dismissed it, because miracles are impossible, therefore it did not occur. However, Dr. Carrier has not alleviated his burden of proof regarding why he thinks miracles are simply impossible.
However, scholarship today is not all against the resurrection of Jesus. I recommend you check out this article by Dr. William Lane Craig on ]]Contemporary Scholarship and the Historical Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
Be Careful! This sermon is shockingly biblical and true. Keith refuses to compromise God's truth and will not hold back the sword from shedding blood.(Jer.48:10) Listen to this sermon if you are ready to be convicted and filled with the fear of God. Seriously one of the most intense sermons ever preached in my opinion.
The teleological argument is very useful at times, but proving the complexity of creation may need to be required initially.
I prefer to use the Cosmological argument. It is irrefutable, unless they are not being reasonable. The universe cannot be infinite in age because of the scientific law of entropy. If the universe was infinite in age, that means that the universe must have infinite entropy (chaos/disorder), which is obviously not true.
