Omniscience & Predestination? Do you think you can fully understand this?
Pastor Chronister starts off this sermon/lecture by talking directly to one of you. The first large part of this sermon is in response to a wonderful e-mail we received from Werner. We first thought Werner was from Germany because he used the German word "Bibelauslegung" which is German for "interpretation of the Bible". So I wrote back to him assuming that he was from Germany, the land of Luther. Well, he wrote back to me informing me he was from the country of Zwingli, namely Switzerland. Werner asked a question about a very important doctrinal issue. Pastor Chronister takes questions on doctrine very seriously and so he wanted to take the time to answer Werner's question in this sermon. Here is a part of Werner's question: "Can sinful men (as we all are), dead in sin, make a life giving decision in his free will?" And of course, we're in a study on Romans, where the questions of 'free will' and 'predestination' should be discussed in detail. And our pastor is bold enough to take on these hard subjects.
