According to the heading of most versions of the Bible Psalm 4 is an evening Psalm. This psalm discusses a kingdom man in the midst of considerable strains physically and spiritually resting. He obtained spiritual and physical rest through faith. As night fall comes, who of us who are really seeking to seek first the kingdom of God is not tempted to brood over past wrongs and present dangers? Here are the main points: First, pray to God before you protest to, or about, men. Second, Give and accept advice that grows out of sturdy theology. In other words "know" how God has acted and will continue to act. Third, daringly seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Real faith is daring faith. Daring believers have great expectations, including sleeping well. "I will both lay me down and sleep, for thou Lord only make to dwell in safety."
