Jesus' compassion is rooted in His inter-trinitarian relationship with the Father & His incarnational idnetification with us. A survey of the occasions when Jesus feels compassion shows this emotion in response to human misery both physical & spiritual. He demonstrates His compassion in various ways: tears & sighs, weeping, calling sinners to repentance, & especially on the cross.
