Yes it is Vile. All sin is vile. Apostate Worship among the most vile. " Therefore I despise myself and I repent in dust and ashes." (Job 42:6) "Unto Him Who Loved Us" (Revelation 1:5)
Thank You Pastor for the rebuke. Wounds from a friend can be trusted (Proverbs)
Excellent ! Solid Ground. Where to start ? In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) Love submits, teach me both.
Looking forward to the remaining 40 sermons. Next to The Word, Jesus Audio is a field of Great Treasure.
Convicting This is the good old fashioned Reformed Baptist preaching that is being marginalized in our day. I don't listen to a lot of sermons on my ROKU but thought this would be a good devotional for this Sunday Morning. In a 10 minute introduction before the text is even opened up I was groaning and praying before God - so well does it expose what Samuel Rutherford called the house-devil of every man. The first time I heard Pastor Dunn was at a men's conference near Adrian Mi. in the early 90s, but have known about him since I attended Trinity in the 80s. But now I find myself going through his sermons again and see what else I may have missed. It was interesting to see the name James Dolezal in the mix of speakers because of his background and association with another very good Reformed Baptist preacher, Rick Anderson and Faith Community Church.
Humbling. A humbling message! How high are the standards of God! We are called to live in holiness and in love in a corrupt world. We are called to love Christ and to wait eagerly for His return. May God work in us His children all these heavenly qualities!
