One of the best sermons I’ve ever heard on this! I have listened to this sermon that a dear friend sent to me several years ago more times than I can count. It is solid, incredibly accurate and biblical. So igrateful to the Lord for my friend sending this to me in a time of great need. This is in my downloads and forever will be till I go to be with the Lord. Thank you so much for your solid exposition of these verses !

I've read the Bible from cover to cover and know for a fact that God teaches the believer that we are to baptise all family members of Covenanted parents. In fact I cannot even imagine how people can think that God would discriminate against children of believers. The doctrine on Abraham's "SEED" who are to be brought into Covenant by the command of God remains extant - And absolutely nothing in Scripture annuls this command. The precursor to baptism being circumcision was commanded by God as the token/sign of the covenant and to be provided to infants. God obviously embraces our children since children are HIS reward. And with Jesus Himself commanding us to bring the children to Him (Mat 19:14) - Then it is the duty of parents to do so. The promise as Peter teaches is to us and our children. Only man could seek an alternative to deny this promise and gift to children.

I think Mike is a great guy. But like Wesley he has this problem (Arminian) with God's sovereignty which Whitefield tried to solve with good Biblical Calvinism.
As for the current point "Roman Catholic views in the NASB, NIV and modern versions"
The post below highlights just two of the errors used in the NASB/NIV which contribute to the RCC hypothesis on Mary, and over time could fabricate their fallacies in others. If you add all the "seeds" of error passed on to the modern versions by the erroneous Westcott and Hort/Vaticanus text, then the sum effect may be the danger of the spread of popish religious philosophy. (A little leaven)??? W&H debased the Greek text together with the KJV of the Word of God and consequently paved the way to the spurious modern version counterfeit.

As Spurgeon stated - "Calvinism IS THE GOSPEL" - This is the truth. I am extremely worried about your theology.
Mike wrote: 1) A stretch. Mary was a woman, nothing more, and that's obvious in the NASB verse(her) and context. 2) RC's hold Mary ever virgin because they DON'T believe what their bible says to the contrary. Matt. 13:55,56 (Douay-Rheims) "Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brethren James, and Joseph, and Simon, and Jude: And his sisters, are they not all with us?..." 3)Yes.
Defending the Roman Catholics and their bibles again Mike. Benedict16 will be proud of you.
