The "prosperity gospel" is just a modern day form of "rape", hiding under the guise of "christian doctrine". If there was ever a lie being perpetuated in the black church and in the black community it's the "health, wealth and prosperity gospel". People who attend these churches, specifically African American people need to ask the question..."how is it that the pulpit keeps getting richer, while the pew is getting poorer"? People, when is the light going to come on -- look at Jesus' example..."was he materially rich?"...NO, but he was very rich in spirit. That's where our wealth should be, "spiritual wealth". No proverty can exist there!
The born-again believer is the CHURCH! The church building is just a house for believers to gather in. So, the real church will never leave America as long as there are born-again believers in Chris Jesus! The problem exists because the believer won't stand up for Christ and his word, the Bible.
I agree with both Jim & SB in regard to Billy's ministry. I hate to stir the bee hive - but unless he repents, renouces his life or error and falsity and becomes born-again..... Hell WILL be his future resting place no matter how good his false earthly ministry and message was. He must "enter ye in at the strait gate".....through the precious blood of Jesus. Prayer should be for his salvation and if it's good will...his healing.
You must first believe in something, before you don't believe in it! If an atheist doesn't believe in God, and I presume the bible -- that still does not make him an exception to God's laws. He will still die and is subject to every one of God's laws in the earth. He was created in his likeness and therefore subject to him whether he believes he is or not. Just because he doesn't believe, does not negate it's truth or existence. Atheism is another form of man's ignorance and his total depravity.
I think if true Christians would consult their "Holy Bible", they will see (Rev.) that this is all a set-up for the anti-christ. It's going to perpetuate itself so, that eventually the world will see it as an acceptable lifestyle (which most do already), and so, when the anti-christ shows up on the scene, which by the way will be a homosexual himself -- the people will be prepared to except him whole-heartedly. Lies, deceit, corruption and all the like will come from this man of sin, WHO WILL BE homosexual!
Why would anyone spend time arguing over whether the pope is correct or not. Every true bible believing - born again, Christ-centered believer - knows the pope and the Catholic church are the "false church" as well as the harlot in revelation. Come on guys....give it a break!
You are right on target Ms. Abigail -- and I am sad to say the local church is losing respect and power. But remember, WE are the church (the believer) and we can only make it as strong as WE are in Christ! Jesus always did what his Father said..not what a man or the world said. That's why he was hated so....yes, the truth of the word of God does offend....that's God's design for his word! He says in his word....if you are not with me, then you are against me!
Not if that's your lifestyle, Mr. Lincoln. If you want to come out of that sin and be reconciled to Christ, you are more than welcomed. But the sciptures say homosexuality is an abomination to God...he's hates the sin, but loves the sinner...he loves the sinner to repentenance and change!

No such thing as an "atheist". How can you deny belief in something you don't belive in? Also, there are no atheist in HELL. Once YOU get there, YOU will definitely believe!!!
What would you expect from a lost person? It makes no difference what "religion" you have. Religion is not "Christianity"! Religion is man trying to reach out to "GOD"....but that could be any kind of god. Christianity is "Christ" reaching out to sinful man (mankind)!
Joel Osteen is a wolf in sheep's clothing. He preaches another "gospel" and the scripture says to beware of these kind of men. Read Matt. 7:15. I personally think he's lost and going to hell, because otherwise he would stand up for Christ, not lay down with Satan!
