Stevenr wrote: It wasn’t too long back that the headlines read “Divorces are trending down in the US.” What they didn’t mention in that particular headline was that the reason behind lower divorce rate was lower marriage rate. Just saying Years ago I read a book by Jeff VanGoethem entitled, "Living Together". The book showed the adverse affects of people cohabitating. It was an eye opener. Our nation will reap the whirlwind even more as we have already. |

Uncle Sam wrote: Wow! Wow! Now, one can realize why her husband was playing around. I can see Satan(Devil)and his angels (demons) having a party again. Sam, I guess Mrs. Clinton has not heard of the Golden Rule. We are to treat people the way we want to be treated. According to Mrs. Clinton can Republicans be uncivil if the Democrats want to destroy what they care about? If she is being honest then the answer has to be yes. |

Don Tian wrote: This article, from the South Carolina newspaper, has a lot of meat to it. I recommend everyone take the time to check it out, especially the pictures. Of course, you can argue the figures are not accurate, when in the fine print, they admit that not all Southern Baptist cthe hurches report their numbers to the central office. As for United Methodists, I can understand them failing, in part due to their doctrinal deviation on the sodomite issue. The newspaper article has a bit about a church meeting in a tavern, a bar that is. It reminds me of the other story here at S.A. about the California church making and serving beer. What will they think of next? Maybe meet in the parking lot of a shopping center? Don, what they will think of next is to grow their own pot and dispense it. That will get folks in the door. Better have good snacks after the service though because pot brings on the munchies. |

NeedHim wrote: A good video that explains & exposes the truth & light on the likes of Bill Hybles ministry & Rick Warren. As well also, as they are 2 peas in the same pod together. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R9y9ly6YvCw Thanks for the video. I watched the whole thing this afternoon. It is so easy to be swept away by worldly thinking as this video shows. I will continue to pastor small churches because I will never stop preaching the Gospel. |

ladybug wrote: "Christians are part of a community and thus those who have forsaken church are not part of a community." Where does the bible say this? From quiet Christian, " It's not about a social community led by someone to do nice things. It's about Jesus and Him crucified on our behalf that we might live thru Him, and as a group, become the Bride of Christ." From BM, "The Lord upholds his church in his will and by his hand. Her bonding and growth are by the divine, quiet, secret work of His Spirit in the heart." Both of these statements are accurate concerning the church, which is a body of believers called out from every tribe, tongue and nation, and NOT a brick and mortar building or denomination/non-denominational man made organized religion. The social gospel isn't the main function of the elect. Proclaiming Christ crucified to a lost and dying world is more needful than meeting a temporal, physical need. Christians are part of a Christian Community. We are part of God's family through faith in Christ. Years ago even unbelievers would go to church because it was socially acceptable. Thus they experienced what community feels like despite not being truly saved. As the culture has turned away from God they have lost the community experi |

Allie wrote: So the school district does not allow Gideon to share their religion with children, but the atheists and satanists may be able to share theirs. Based on their argument the government would be establishing religion(s). Atheists and Satanists (both worship Satan) will never destroy the Church since Christ is its living Head. They will pass away and be forgotten, but He reigns forevermore. We should pray for these children who are to be fodder for these evil people. Pray God will have mercy. That the parents will wake up and protect these kids. Amen Allie!! If you think of it Yahweh has outlasted every other god in ancient times. When was the last time you saw a Molech worshipper? Anybody truly worship Artemis anymore? No, but there are millions of believers in the God of Israel who is Father,Son, and Holy Spirit who will be praised for all eternity. |

Wayfarer Pilgrim wrote: We few, we happy few, we band of brothers( and sisters). It is so good to be married and have a wife or husband who knows the pleasures and blessing of salvation and what marriage represents to the believer. Thank God in Christ I live not the perils this world has too offer nor my children. You make a very good point. We are blessed when we follow God and His Ways. I also see that as the world gets darker, then it is an opportunity for those who truly know Jesus as Savior and Lord to shine the light of salvation and a blessed Christian walk. |

Mike, you hit it on the head. We are being inundated with sensuality. If I am watching tv and a victoria's secret commercial comes on do I have to guard my heart? Yes, of course I do because sensuality is all around. It's not just hardcore pornography we have to be care about it's the everyday pornography that is on tv. Even when I check my yahoo mail after I log out I will sometimes see provocative pictures on the main yahoo screen. Jesus help me and other men who are wanting to live holy.
Mike wrote: One would need a blindfold in this world to avoid "porn" because it runs the gambit from innocent clothing ads on tv or magazines to the most vile images from the pit of hell. Reprobates are probably going to be more inclined to be drawn to the most vile material. Nice guys who have weak moments the more tame fare. Lust is simply part of the sinful human condition. Frankly I think these studies are not taking this "jerk factor" into account. Christ knows our struggles. Repentance is a turning away, a change of direction. Yet we will inevitably drift off course from time to time. Never give up the fight! |
