And yet we have not heard about this case from from much of the media. Why is that? It's because this man is just performing abortions outside the womb. The same thing happens inside the womb when a child is murdered.

It is hard without knowing the situation to know how to take this. Did the children turn out the way they did because of bad parenting? Or was it that the children just chose the wrong path bringing grief to their mother? Whatever the case I at least appreciate this woman's honesty. She needs to reconcile with her children and stop enabling them to use her if they are doing so.

These remarks remind me that sometimes pastors should be quiet. We all have outlooks and can think about the possibilites of something. Yet we should not always bring them up because we might be wrong. This pastor has no clue if Obama would bring on the Antichrist. Pat Robertson had no clue to know if God was judging the people of New Orleans.

I see this as an attempt of appeasment on the Democrats part. They think that we are hated by the muslim world because we deseve to be because of past atrocities. The problem with such thinking is that it is naive. Many muslims hate us because we are a free people and have been successful. Obama and many liberals feel the same way about America. It's time we were knocked down a peg or two so we can learn what it's like to be on the lower end.

This desire to squelch debate has nothing to do with true science. It is about political correctness and indoctrination.

Over the last several years I have prayed for Liam Neeson because of the tragic death of his wife. Perhaps the Word of God he has heard will take up root and he will cry out to Jesus for salvation. May it be so.

The problem is religious people can be very dangerous. It was religious people who lied and sentenced my Lord to death.
parqificus wrote:
Roman Catholics are the same as any other reprobate which need to be evangelised and brought to the truth. The only difference is that the RC are religious!
Of course it is entirely dependant upon God as to whether HE will use His disciples to reach the religious reprobate with the truth.
As Jesus remarked about the religious reprobates, quote;
"22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:"

I agree that all sin is sin and in a sense any sin leads a human being to be separated from a Holy God. Therefore anyone needs the forgiveness of sin that only Jesus can give when they put their trust in His shed blood. A homosexual can do this. So can a thief, or a liar. The issue I have with Pastor Osteen is that he says to Oprah and to the world that homosexuals can get to Heaven. He needs to clarify further that he is not saying unrepentant homosexuals will get to Heaven. For God wants to change the hearts of sinners and conform them to His Will. Pastor Osteen did not stress the importance of repentence in his remarks and if I was an unbeliever I would think he said unrepentent sinners can go to Heaven.

Paul says in Romans 13 that the government whom God has established does not wield the sword for nothing. Governments were established by God to punish evil doers. What is missing in some of this discussion is that there is a big difference between sin committed between believers in the church and a crime that is punishable by the governing authorities. In Indiana where I live if we hear about or have knowledge of a sex crimes we have to by law report it. I'm not sure what other states say about such things.

makes me wish Luther had corrected the sale of indulgences but stayed put. what is called "church" these days is a sad joke and a stench in God's nostrils. where is the reverence?
I see it this way. Yes, this church is crazy. But, if they are not teaching the Gospel to the congregation then can they really be considered a church? At least this is only one church who has gone astray. What if there was only one central church on Earth and it went crazy? The Catholic Church has a billion people in it. And in my view they left the Gospel a long time ago. This means the vast majority of a billion people, even if they attend their individual churches are not part of the true church because they have not received Jesus as their Savior, trusting in Him completely for their soul's salvation.

Now they are trying to say that the pastor raped a woman, and he is not on trial because of his religious beliefs. What a religion Islam is. The ends justify the means. Go ahead and lie in the name of Allah. He won't mind. We prayed for this pastor yesterday in church. I called Islam an evil religion. Now there are some good muslim people, but by and large the religion if lived out completely will lead a person to commit Jihad, Holy War against all non muslims. When I prayed I prayed that if this pastor is murdered, the Christian faith would blaze like a furnace in Iran.

I thought we saw the ark on Evan Almighty? LoL. Seriously though, I don't have a problem with them building this at all. At least it will get people to talk. Perhaps the Gospel will have a chance to be preached because of the conversation. Our family went to the Creation Museum 3 weeks ago. It was a wonderful time. Ken Ham has a very nice presentation. The Lord is using him in a lot of ways.

I think it's important we rememeber why the stars were created. They were created to give light to the Earth at night and to be used for navigation. I have no problem with God creating stars who are full and functioning at the very moment of creation. Just as Adam was a man who could talk and reason, so it would be with stars. They were meant to shine light on us because God gave them to us. He can bend his rules any way he pleases. Whatever light we see, we see light God has created.

I have no problem saying that Camping can be born again and at the same time a false prophet. Deut 18 was written for the nation of Israel and shows God's attitude towards false prophets. But it doesn't take into account the salvation of the prophet. If Harold Camping truly has received Jesus as his Savior then he will be in Heaven when he dies. The Lord would want him right now to confess his sin of false prophecy. My feeling is that pride will keep him from doing so, but you never know.
Of course my post here is only applicable if Harold Camping had truly been saved in the first place. It is also possible that he was a false convert, never really believed in the Cross of Christ. Eternity will show whether he did or not. You can't trick God. He knows the heart.

I'm a little confused. Bell says love wins, and then he says that our choices matter. How can our choices matter if Hell wins? It makes no sense. Hats off to Martin for holding his feet to the fire. Rob Bell is an unbeliever. When he says that universalism is within the framework of evangelicalism (not quoting him word for word) then I am no longer an evangelical. Maybe I can call myself a conservative evangelical to identify myself and my church. Oh Church wake up and come back to Him who is the judge of the Living and the dead.

The real truth is many homosexuals are not happy with the way they are. They feel trapped by the feelings they have and many hate themselves. This is the reason why they desperately want society's acceptance because then they can accept themselves.
Homosexuality is a sin, an afront on God, just as adultery and fornication is. No matter the sexual sin mankind wants to be accepted despite it. Only by turning to Christ for salvation and then having the power of the Holy Spirit reside in the life of a person can sin be tamed and controlled.
We as the church should continue to pray for these folks and warn our children to not go down the road they are paving.

For me the only reason I believe pastoral ministry is male exclusive is because I see the Scriptures as teaching this. To be honest I wish it wasn't in the Bible, but God never gave me a vote. There are women who love Jesus more than I do, are better leaders, have more intelligence, and would be better pastors than I am. While saying all this, I begrudgingly stand by my belief that women should not be pastors.
