The ultimate outcome of the end of the tribulation and fulfillment of God's promises are being previewed in this section of the revelation given to John. During this time we are told that the whole world will be blanketed with the gospel. People from all nationalities, in all places, will hear the timelessly truthful message that will still be powerful to save those who will believe.
The unchanging message is here summarized by three basic commands. "Fear God" meaning to recognize and reverence Him for who He is. "Give Him glory" by repenting from sin, turning from self and acknowledging God with the honor He is due. "Worship Him" as worship becomes the dividing line between the worshipers of “the beast” and those who will worship God.
The warning is sounded that there an urgent need to hear and believe the eternal gospel because the hour of judgment has come. As Creator, God must be worshiped and He will judge. Sentencing to hell is forthcoming for all who refuse to repent and believe the timeless lifesaving message concerning the Lamb who was slain.
