Support for homosexuality increases as interest in religion wanes
People who say religion is not important to them are more likely to support homosexuality, new research by Pew has found.

The study analysed the beliefs of over 34,000 people across 36 countries, with the UK having one of the highest levels of support for homosexuality.

The report, released on Thursday, reveals rising support for homosexuality in western European countries, Australia, the US and Canada, where marriage laws have been liberalised in recent years.

I've often wonder exactly how it is that homosexuality can be supported by those who also believe in evolution's survival of the fittest notion. No ability to reproduce itself is sufficient information to demonstrate no survival at all. What could be less "fittest" than that?

I hear you, Brother. What a shame and false representation. May the Lord open the eyes of your pastors, etc, to the full truth of His word (and me too).

So by the same standard we judge thus will we be judged by. If we then say that anything goes and treat people accordingly, then we would be held accountable for being lawless if we were to stand without Jesus before the Throne. Even still, if one is that comfortable with sin, one has to question one's standing with the One who is utterly Holy and Righteous.

Yes , I agree QC, but , sitting in a pew pre Covid I heard it all too often. “ You have No right to judge anyone on how they live, period “. And all I could think was Romans 10:14- preachers preach the gospel that you were entrusted with; Less you receive a more harsher judgement from neglecting this gospel and the people under your care.

That's just poor exegesis based on a faulty hermeneutic, Wayfarer, which is based on a faulty Christology which looks more like a certain past President's idea of Jesus than the Biblical one. Jesus never came to make anyone feel bad, they reason. After all, the Eleveth Commandmnet is "Thou shalt not make thy neighbor feel bad. He must not feel bad about his spouse, his house, his automobile, his employees or employer or any other aspect of thy neighbor." Only those hyper religious church people (you know, the ones who we have to exceed in righteousness to get into heaven as good people) got His dander up.

Great story, but it's just that...a story, a piece of fiction. The Bible gives history, the true "His Story" which gives a different picture of who Jesus is, what we must do thru Him and His sacrifice to enter heaven, and why...because we are all desperate sinners in need to grace.

There is a trend in churches where pastors have a universal viewpoint that Christians are Not to judge anyone, in order for the gospel to be accepted. I have heard local pastors in Baptist churches say, “ you have no right to judge anyone no matter their lifestyles/ sin life. That if people are not judged , the gospel will be appreciated.
How then does one come to the gospel unless one acknowledges they are a sordid sinner, bound for hell, and at the exact right time, God sent his Son as the propitiation for our sins and He calls us to to new birth in him. How can one present this gospel without an evangelist.
The SBC has cut programs that were thought to be evangelistic in its approach. Like one local evangelist said to me at a Dariy Queen, presenting their gospel. He’d been recalled from being an evangelist in Mexico and was now working at an insurance company. There is little support for truth of the gospel, when trying to make it sweet.

Jim, to say that you abhor and oppose homosexuality, and yet support Democratic candidates for office, is the equivalent of saying that you love Jews but think Hitler was a swell guy. Every Democratic candidate not only accepts the sodomite lifestyle, but ardently affirms and embraces it. Wake up and smell the brimstone.

There is, at the most basic level, a source for our concepts of right and wrong.

C. S. Lewis used the concept of "fair" being a relatively universally understood concept as an argument for the existance of God. I'm not sure his argument will hold up today as these concepts have been redefined as "right" and "wrong" have.

Instead, we have these competing notions that spawn from different locations and entities. One the one side is the Lord God Almighty who created Truth and Wisdom and Justice as well as all things. Nothing that was made was not made by Him. On the other side is the world or crowd which wants, in the most desperate way, to supplant their Maker & Sustainer with their own set of truth. Like the Lord with His faithful witnesses and prophets, the other side presents its false prophets and soothsayers that say what the crowd wants to hear and that appeals to their basest, fleshly levels.

Our struggle is that, in the flesh, we would be right with the masses. We ourselves are scarely saved and that only by grace. We daily fight sin in ourselves. May the Lord have mercy on those inside the camp of faith as well as outside the camp of faith. May He not stop working in us and may He call those outside to Himself.

And the good news ……

Prov 29:16 When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall.

Unless of course this is the "End."

I agree Frank. And I had an experience today out on my prayer walk, where I was talking to the Lord about sin and where it comes from, and he reminded me of this text:
Matthew 15:19-20 KJV
(19)  For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
(20)  These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
This led on to talking about Jeremiah 17:9 and the human heart, what it is, and what it is not, and mine own heart in particular. It was most profitable, I believe.
Thanks brother! Yes, we were born with an Adamic nature and once we got old enough we were simply sinners. But, just think; all our sins, past, present and future have been paid for by our Lord and Savior. He saved us from before the foundation of the world. Praise His holy name.

I am praying for those beautiful Pakistini children and their teachers every night. I pray the Lord keeps them safe and provides for all their needs.

Now, this isn’t an argument that says some sins are not sins. But, it is an argument to say that some sins are worse than others. IOW, a murderer is worse than a thief.

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

And listen to evangelical activists in public, secular forums arguing against same-sex unions or gay-rights legislation. They’ll bend over backward to make rational and philosophical arguments—while they assiduously avoid stating plainly that homosexuality is wrong because the Bible says it’s wrong. That systematically knocks the foundation of biblical authority out from under the point we need to make....

And when Christian politicians make moral arguments that are bereft of any appeal to Scripture—especially when they lean on rational, philosophical, and pragmatic arguments and deliberately downplay the authority of Scripture—what they are doing is actually counterproductive and detrimental to the Christian message....

Romans 1:28-32

28. Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29. being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers, 30. backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31. without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32. who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

“”People who say religion is not important to them are more likely to support homosexuality, new research by Pew has found.“”

They had to do a survey to come to this conclusion????

This is very queer!!

Anybody who supports sodomite behaviour is no more a Christian than a plastic banana!!

It’s an abomination!! — As Christians fully know.

During these days of apostasy and satanic Liberalism the reprobates feel free to follow their evil hearts. Churches such as the Anglican, the Episcopalian, PCUSA and the Liberals in all denominations are Satan’s followers.
As for the rest of the Secular community Satan rules their heart.
This generation is a generation without God. Judges chapter two teaches this has happened before.

Come Lord Jesus, Come Soon.

Unstoppable march of Sodomites, as expected

"In many nations, there has been an increasing acceptance of homosexuality, including in the United States, where 72% say it should be accepted, compared with just 49% as recently as 2007.”

A world full of Sodomites will be terminated by burning just like Sodom and Gomorrah.

The earth is reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;

… the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. - 2 Peter 3
