Pope stumbles in church for second time in three days

Pope Francis had to be helped up the steps to an altar at a Rome basilica on Monday after stumbling in public for the second time in three days.

Two church officials flanked the 78-year-old pontiff and took him by the arm as he faltered on his way up the steps during a service in the Basilica of St. John Lateran.

On Saturday, the pope tripped on the steps of St. Peter's Basilica, stopping his fall with his outstretched hands, before two aides helped him back to his feet.

God bless to all, Rodney k. From Tennessee.
Gday mate, I was in a rush when I posted and to be honest I thought I'd made a tongue Twister out of it,(pardon the pun) :-)
Howdy get real and God bless to you, didn't mean to appear to be lecturing you, as I'm aware your more mature Christian than I,
I maybe should have taken your comment with tongue in cheek.
And I was referring to the news article when I stated " this is potshot material". :-)

Well, maybe his time is growing to a close, and the cardinals are already searching for someone more conservative to take his place.
That trip to South America where he got a weird crucifix gift from Pres/Dictator Correa in Ecuador, and then goes to Cuba to meet with another dictator, all that was too much for them to stand.
Or maybe he has pronounced too much on global warming--is it really man-caused and what difference can we do to change something that involves the entire world.
One thing I know is that he is from Argentina, and they are having runoff elections Nov. 22, so it would be nice for him to make some big pronouncements on that.
Of course, if they hire the same guys who run the machines in Venezuela, the ruling party's win is guaranteed.

Hi everyone and thank you for responding

my take on the whole Catholic "prophecy" thing was that they took some of them from the Book of Revelation and rewrote them ...

the Hopi Indian have a prophecy that states that the people of the swastika overcome the people of the cross and when that happens time ends ...

when i read this news article i thought ... the Pope is old, stumbling is a symptom of many degenerative health issues, maybe he is fixing to die soon, then some will start speaking about the Catholic prophecies of Saint Malachy, anyone here believe in them?

Psa 27:2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Pro 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Pro 24:17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

Isa 28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

Isa 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

Mal 2:8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.

Joh 11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Rom 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Jim refference to prayer & Francis!

PS66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

Proverbs 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but He heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Proverbs 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
