Attention all users! In an ongoing attempt to help our broadcasters at the local level, there are a number of features throughout the site that allow the visitor to quickly see which churches are in their area.
We are happy to announce that we now have extensive support for Google Earth—a free download from Google's website which allows you to "fly around" in a beautiful 3D environment combining satellite imagery, maps, and terrain. In addition to panning, tilting, and rotating the view, you can also easily search for schools, parks, hotels, and driving directions in a localized context.
So now you can view the church locations all over the world in an interactive 3D environment and get a better "feel" for where these churches are situated in relation to other surrounding features. Finding churches just got easier!
The Google Earth button appears in appropriate areas around the site, such as:
Please note that ALL broadcasters (including both US and international broadcasters) now support the traditional Google mapping as well as the new Google Earth feature. Also note that due to incomplete mapping data in some parts of the world, some areas may only represent approximate locations.SermonAudio is in the business of helping and promoting the local church and this is one more way we're doing that. If your church or organization would like to further your exposure both locally and globally, we would certainly encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity!
