just a thought wrote: ...you need to educate yourself... They believe you can only get to heaven when you come to Christ through Ellen G. White {a works program following salvation by grace with light of revelation through E.G.White as the infallible guide to holy scripture}. It appears that you have either been listiening 2 some1 else who thinks they know about the things u mentioned or just that u've misunderstood urself. I know 4 a fact the SDA's do not believe that Ellen White was infallible. They definately don't believe they get 2 heaven THROUGH Ellen White. I am only 28, but have been a SDA my whole life & never once have I heard of anyone ever thinking or believing in such nonsense. We believe as Luthor taught & many of the reformers, Christ & Christ alone, Grace & Grace alone, Bible & Bible alone! Who ever told u otherwise clearly does not know what SDA's teach, believe & practice. Even if it was another so called SDA or former SDA who informed u, they're wrong according 2 the official stance of the Chruch. From what I HAVE STUIED OUT 4 MYSELF, we follow the Bible & the Bible alone. Anything we read even Elen White should be tested by Scripture! So please educate yourself 1st b4 trying to educate others. Read Matt. 12:36 Thank you sir. |

just a thought wrote: When I read some of these posts, I wonder if God has called us to fight amongst ourselves over calvinism, or if He called us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to lost sinners, which would be considered time well spent? "Calvinism is the gospel, and nothing else. I do not believe we can preach the gospel, if we do not preach justification by faith, without works; nor unless we preach the sovereignty of God in His dispensation of grace; nor unless we exalt the electing, unchangeable, eternal, immutable, conquering love of Jehovah; nor do I think we can preach the gospel, unless we base it upon the special and particular redemption of His elect and chosen people which Christ wrought out upon the cross; nor can I comprehend a gospel which lets saints fall away after they are called, and suffers the children of God to be burned in the fires of damnation after having once believed in Jesus. Such a gospel I abhor." (C H Spurgeon) |
