Oh well, that's alright then - "we will put up with sin, and go along with it this year, but next year we will deal with it (maybe, possibly, hopefully, if all goes well, and if the Shinners agree etc.,)". So much for the fear of plan B!! "We don't want Dublin/London rule....we have saved the Union..blah..blah...blah.." |

Alan wrote: Wayne - most of the protestors were not even Free Presbyterians - "Pastor" Clifford Peeples was one of them, a man sentenced to 10 years for having hand grenades and pipe bombs in his car for use by Loyalist terrorist organisations. And your point is?? The men INSIDE were Free Presbyterians - and they would have voted him out if he had not agreed to "jump first". All this rubbish about carrying out laws already passed will not do - what are they going to do to overturn those laws? Nothing. DUP councillors would not take a stand in their local areas on the sodomite "marriage" issue. So much for power in local hands. Power-hungry politicians cannot be trusted to do the right thing. It is all about getting elected and staying elected. |

Stingless wrote: Sorry my pearls of wisdom are being wasted on your angry closed mind. I`ll just shake the dust off my feet as it were and move on. I won`t enter into any further correspondence with you. Read Luke Chapter 11 verse 53 that cap fits you nicely. This is typical of the spiritual giants who are on here defending the indefensible - shoot the message boy because you don't like the message. "Pearls of wisdom"? Why the bitterness when the general of the troops is "happy" to stand down, and it was his "own decision"?? As for not signing papers for funding sodomites, this is a fudge - only spoken about behind closed doors. he is silent on this in the Assembly AND in the public media. Further: the money IS coming from his office. And that is a fact. The lemmings don't like facts! |

Stingless wrote: From what I have also heard there was a united spirit among all those men on Friday BUT ONLY AFTER the Lord came among them and softened their hard hearts... Whose hearts? The nasty comments I heard about were from Paisleyites - just as it is still them coming out with the bile. If he is so "happy" to stand down, and it was his idea (one stooge said he had been thinking it over for months)then why are the duped people all so bitter about it?? The reaction of the pro-FM lobby proves he jumped before getting pushed! |

How exactly has he acted as "salt" in relation to sodomite funding? Or anything else? He said on Nolan that he wanted to be in there influencing things instead of Dublin/London imposing things. Now you are saying the decisions are from Westminster & he can't do anything about it!! You can't have it both ways. The DUPERS will get turfed out next election, just as he has been turfed out of being moderator. Maginess represented the office in L'derry as he had a love-in with the poofs & spoke for the OFMDFM. I never heard the big man utter a word about it. When Ian Jr said what he did, his da's silence was deafening! Why? Because his position shuts his mouth on those matters. Catch yerself on, my friend. You are like all the other lemmings - the idea is: back the big man no matter what. Listen to yourself! Doc gets in, and it's the Lord promoting him - Sinn Fein gets in and it is electoral success!! |

Stephen and Joy wrote: If Dr.Paisley had only won one soul for Christ during his ministry then I say his ministry is worth it. Who mentioned his ministry? "Worth it" - worth what? Politics has wrecked a certain church in Belfast. How many go there now? And where did I "slander" Dr P.? I deal in facts. As for "judging", you ought to scroll down and read your previous comments on this page! I think it was YOU who talked about "back-stabbers", "Judas", and the "lying lips of the devil's disciples"......you sound like somebody that's really fit to pray for the unconverted I must say! And BTW...how do you know what or who I pray for?? Get the blinkers off Stephen..... |

Stephen and Joy wrote: Dr.Paisley a good friend of our family and always will be. The way he has been treated is a disgrace and had it not been for many gospel missions he conducted many of these backstabbbers may not have heard the Word of God preached. Will the next moderator's name be Judas? God bless the doc. This ranting and raving in defence of the indefensible is the real "disgrace". Remember this:"Faithful are the wounds of a friend" - a man's real friends are the people willing to warn him of the consequences of his folly. You do not sound like a spiritual person to me. |

"Stephen" - you should be careful what you say.....you speak as one of the foolish ones. Well over a half of FP church elders must be the "Devil's disciples" by your standards. The bitterness that is supposed to have motivated opponents of the shambles at Stormont is obviously eating up its supporters! Pete from the USA is right: go by what is happening today not years ago. People like you are not thinking straight (or Biblically). |

What utter rubbish......love for the truth is what motivates any ministers I have heard on the subject. From what I have heard there was a united spirit among all those men on Friday - pity you do not share it! |

"He has done nothing wrong politically or doctrinally". FALSE - and his FPC brethren know it,and so he was forced to step down, despite the lies in the papers. "His brethren in the ministry and presbytery of the Free Presbyterian Church owe him a lot materially (?)and spiritually". TRUE - But he has had their unqualified support until now. "The Lord has honoured His servant with high public office" - FALSE: The office itself is dishonoring to Christ because of what it involves. "Time the brethren in the ministry repented of their back biting to set an example to their congregations". FALSE ANALYSIS: It is not "back-biting" to point out dishonorable behaviour from one who should know better. I was impressed with the gracious tone in several sermons on this site re. the situation. God won't bless sin in church or state. |
