OBX wrote: CCC 2269...doesn't mean we're not responsible "CCC 2269 The fifth commandment forbids doing anything with the intention of indirectly bringing about a person's death. The moral law prohibits exposing someone to mortal danger without grave reason, as well as refusing assistance to a person in danger." OBX "indirectly bringing about a person's death" - What about the "indirect" method of the Roman Catholic church who encourage idolatry and the rejection of Scripture to the detriment of the lives and worship of people? BTW Is there a CCC which provides RCC/Vatican authority to reject the 2nd Commandment (graven images)?? "4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;" |

"And he worried that the crisis could aggravate "latent anti-Catholicism" in majority-Protestant England.""majority-Protestant England"??? When did this guy last visit England - Pre 1829??? "The Roman Catholic Relief Act 1829 was passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom on 24 March 1829, and received Royal Assent on 13 April. It was the culmination of the process of Catholic Emancipation throughout the nation." Today's majority-secular England couldn't give a muppet for the shenanigans of the churches or the now multi-religions society. |
