I am a Catholic who attends the local Catholic parish on Saturday Vigil Mass. I also attend the local Baptist Church on Sunday mornings where I was Baptized via immersion(as a public profession of faith that I gave my life to Christ some 20 years ago) on 21 May 2017. I am both Catholic and Baptist as the result of having been Baptized via immersion at that Baptist Church. In the fall I will take membership preparation class in order to become a member of that Baptist Church I attend on Sunday mornings. Isn't it interesting how robotic and repetitive he is? This is also a hallmark of the type that works in the psychology world. They repeat themselves without getting flustered. They will accuse you of being such and such, and when you blow up in defense, they come back calmly with the same statement. |

Just because you go to church(es), have friends, attend clubs, got baptised...means nothing unless Christ has saved you. |

The verses you listed do pertain to John Y. That doesn't mean we think he is 'beyond saving', which I know you agree with. Only God knows who His elect are. Let's hope it's God will that John is saved. Hell is real and forever.  |

Concerning John Y., he has been coming here for years. Many of the brethren have corrected him and given him truth time and time again. Yet, he parrots the same response repeatedly.
God may one day save him, we don't know. The point is, he's had ample truth given over the years. It may be time to shake off the dust and let the word do its work, for we know God's word does not return to Him void. It will either plow through the heart and break the sinner, or the sinner will remain in sin. The bible says God turns some over to delusion because they refuse to love the truth.
The 'fruit' of easy believism is everywhere. This may be due to what was stated above, refusing to love the truth.
We all pray for John Y., Jim L., and many others caught up in a brand of religion that does not save. I was "saved" in 1983...then God truly saved me in 2009. Between those years, I thought I was saved. I sounded just like John. It took 26 years for God to truly save me! Many of you would have looked at me and turned your back thinking there was no hope. There's always hope. |
