Yamil, you used to not talk this way. What happened to you! You used to outdo Seaton in being Antinomian. Now look at you. What happened!Really, to compare what you're saying now with things you said a short while ago -- it's night and day. Did you get the Baptism of the Holy Ghost? Is that what happened? Your doctrines have changed dramatically and totally. Next thing you'll be posting against sin on here, which would definitely be a shock, a real first, advocating that we should care for our fellow man, have mercy and compassion for others, try to defend the innocent and the helpless, reach out to those in need. Up to now, sin was no biggie to you. So what happened? BTW, what things do you think you'll be doing to please God, other than posting tough like a real man on SA? |

"I think I will choose to stick to the Bible and try my best to please God."Where in the Bible does it say to try to please God. I thought that was being a Pharisee, trying to work your way to Heaven. Is this your own idea about pleasing God? What gives you the right to be holier than God, to try to do things that God doesn't want you to do, expect you to do, and that will get you nothing but to be boasting when you get to Heaven. We are saved by faith, not by works, lest any man should boast, right? So if all your works are as filthy rags, what makes you think you can please God with them? Cone on. Let's have some Bible here to support your man-made ideas that you can actually please God or have a reason to even want to. Wayne, tell him he's wrong! Lurker! DB! Mike from NY! Williams! Where are all you Antinomians when I need you! |

"There is nothing one can do to earn salvation, but there is everything one can do to have fellowship with God."Why would God want to take somebody to Heaven that he had no fellowship with? If God wants nothing to do with you here on Earth, why should he want anything to do with you in Heaven? If God can't see the dung underneath the snow, what more is there? If God only sees Jesus, not you, what does it matter? And besides, if you want to sin, why not just go ahead and do it, and what's a little lack of fellowship anyway, long as you don't end up in Hell who cares? And how come you never mentioned anything about fellowship with God in all this time you've been posting if it's so important to you as you say? Usually when something is important it's the first thing they talk about, not the last thing. Are you sure you're not pulling my Jolly Green Leg? BTW, I fail to see anything whatever that's "precious", as you say, about being an Antinomian. |

"Anything else is not the salvation of the Bible. For when the Spirit indwells you, he commences a work of change."Hey, the Spirit will do it, so why worry? Aren't you taking things into your own hands? You call this faith? Aren't you advocating a works salvation according to what you've always said before in your other postings? You are working for fellowship? It's okay to work for fellowship, but not for anything else? Why worry about anything? This is just works salvation according to what you've always said. And the Spirit indwells you and will take care of all the pleasing anyway, right? What can you do to earn anything with God other than to say the Sinner's Prayer? Isn't this what you've always advocated? You should be more consistent, like Wayne, stick to the snow-covered dung idea at all times, show that you have a mature faith like his. |

"For those who want to please God there is plenty to worry."If everything's paid for, why worry? You trying to work for rewards, stack up crowns or something? Are you trusting in Jesus to get you in and in yourself to get some crowns? If it's impossible to please God without faith, and if faith means trusting in God only, not yourself, don't you think you are displeasing God when you worry about pleasing him, that you should just trust him as snow covered dung and accept that you are what you are? Isn't this what you've always said before, you and the other Antinomians who post here? |
