I grew up in the States and the preaching in the church was everything was sin...basketball, etc...except smoking and sex. So figure it out now-a-days when sex scandals are popping up all over the place. There needs to be a proper well-balanced preaching and teaching in the church. Terv davey
Wondering what percentage of these children/teens came from emotional, mental and physical abusive backgrounds. There was a recent survey in Finland that 1 out 4 children saw drunkness of one or both parents in their homes. People are all smiles and wear masks, but what about the other side of the story.
The struggle to find some sort of unity between religious groups is narrowing...but Roman Catholicism will not give an inch on doctrinal issues. Perhaps, the former will mislead many more christians into saying Roman Catholicism ain´t that bad. Terv. davey
My Jewish friends who have passed on would turn in their graves, my Jewish friends in the here and now would protest to their leaders. It seems for both Christian and Jewish faiths, the degeneration of biblical principles have made their inroads and are here to stay. terv. davey
I must admit many years ago I was excited about all the good things I could find on the net. Now, it gets a little tiring....down to couple of good bible study sites and the news. I have friends who have absolutely no interest in it. I can see their point. terv. davey
Several years ago I visited my friends in the States and they were kind of gun-ho about Bush and the war. I wonder how these people who were once gun-ho feel about the war now? Just wondering now that it is going on 4 years. Terv. davey
I suppose this will go around the circuits of talk shows and Larry King Live, and like programs just like the Anna Nicole Smith´s story. This is starting to get quite sickening to hear. Terv. davey
I wonder if the muslim who takes the oath on the koran will really tell the truth when his/her honor is at stake. I understand from studying alittle bit about Islam, that you can deceive the unbeliever. Terv davey
Wonder what the attraction is to mega.churches? The ones I may view online seems to me have good feelings to them...you know, good music, dance and looking on the positive side of life. I suppose repentance of sin and a bloody, crucified Christ has lost its appeal in modern christianity. You tell me! Terv. davey
I don´t want too sound pessimistic, but...hasn´t politicans been telling us about gas comsumption when 40-50 yrs ago there were new gas saving carberators on the market whereby the auto industry voted against. And, the same thing goes for education reform...which has been rehashed and rehashed decades ago...and a new plan for health insurance for the poor... or, energy savings...all this seems to be a rehash of old themes going back to the 50s & 60s. What to watch for is the Iraq business. Terv davey
Last year, how many hundreds, or was it close to thousand, visas given to Saudi students to study in the States. Wasn´t the Twin Tower terrorists Suadis? Al Qaeda leader a Saudi? Wondering if this whole business is a front for something deeper. Terv. davey
Wondering if American is ready for a woman president or Senator Obama from Illinois. I am sure the background checks will be thoroughly invesgitated by their critics....liberal or islamic educated...they will have a going over by rivals and critics. In smaller countries like Finland, Ireland and Iceland, and now in Liberia, women presidents seem to work quite well. What do you think? Terv davey
Modern day liberalism has a certain bigotry against christianity. What they want is the vote and not a change in their agenda. Can the truth of liberalism stand-up to the truth of christianity for every day living and morality. Terv. davey
The U.K. is having the same situations by radical clerics. You Tube TV has a 3 part series on UK Mosques. CNN has a program this coming weekend about the same but looking at it calling it "The Enemy Within". Interesting that most of this radicalism is coming Saudi Arabian trained clerics. Interesting...davey
