Scott McMahan wrote: Carr should lead by example and unplug himself from the Internet, which he has used to promote himself and his gonzo ideas to the world... Do you believe then, that there is absolutely no truth to be found in this article? I find that highly unlikely, or it would have nothing to draw someone to read it, from start to finish. Lies are best promoted by mixing them with some truth. Romans 1 seems to bear that out. Romans 1:14-20 read all quote limited space won't allow "I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise... to you that are at Rome also... For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:... For therein is the righteousness of God revealed... The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" |

Agreed. Meditating on this in private worship: Romans 9:13-16 "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 'So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy."' Compared with Romans 11:32-36 " For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all (Jew and Gentile in context). O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." |

Lurker wrote: Geneva speak. Bible speak... "If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired [it] for his habitation. This [is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it." Lurker, you sound like Calvin; What do you do with Isaiah 58 (all of it); but especially 58:13-14 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.or Exodus 20:8-11 or Matt. 12:7-8 "But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. There is a difference between legalism and loving obedience; delighting in the Beloved, in whom, we are accepted. |

Are Americans Getting Comfortable With Immorality? Not if they believe the Word's of God unto the saving of their souls, see John 3:3-17 Note: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, (1 John 5:5-9)he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." |
