Unfortunately, Bob Bell did not go public with his doctrine until he had a huge following and plenty of "works" to show his "righteousness." We, in Grand Rapids are concerned for the affect this has on our college aged and young adults who have grown up with the "health, wealth, prosperity,gospel." Fortunately, my daughter has had plenty of hard knocks and has a good understanding of the gospel to come back to, when the Lord exposes him. She read his book and she now questions the heaven and hell thing...sadly. I believe she will come out of it.

You must have people such as me, who were victims of modern psychology, in your church. It is a deadly trap and before one realizes they are drugged and they lose twelve years for have in diabetes and thyroid disease, diagnosed as Bi/Polar with somati-form disorder. After my kidneys and liver started to shut down, I threw it all away. I now have my life and I apply the WORD to life. GOD saved my life, really and literally!

"Too Reformed" I know exactly what you mean, and if you stand for the Covenant in Jesus Christ that is another strike against you. Praise GOD that we are considered worthy to actually be criticized for the holding out the truth of Jesus Christ and the Covenant sealed in His blood. Thank you. Alice

Frank, Hey! This is great! I am only a year behind your preaching, at this rate I will make it to heaven a year after your entire flock. As you know I am slower than most, but eventually I get it. Perhaps with the added trials I will not need the rod applied so often. Blessings, and I am doing much better. What I appreciated most was the phrase about "losing your reputation for Christ," I get it. I really get it, He made Himself nothing for us...

Thank-you. My daughter is going to a "basement church" that does not pray, they do not take communion, they do not worship GOD but claim to be a "Christian group." The professor teaches, should one challenge his interpretation he simply claims; "This is not my word it is GOD'S word." He has many ways of telling people to shut up. There are so many forms of "anti-Christ" out there and they are very deceptive.

Thank you for this sermon. I praise GOD for the way you uphold GOD'S Word with humility, gentleness, yet deep conviction. Surely, you are a preacher for the wounded heart. GOD uses men such as you in these troubled times. Bless the Lord for the use of our spiritual gifts, and our positions in the body that He calls us to use in the battles of life.

I was born in the mid-fifties, and I remember my second grade teacher reading the Bible to us before quiet time, after lunch. I remember praying up to fifth grade. I truly see your point about women in authority over men nothing but insanity rules any position of authority where men are not over seeing, and women accountable to them. We are so easily deceived. One thing that I wish you would have brought out is that women are very beguiled, and led astray by wanting to know everything, and by spoken words against someone, or some thing. Doesn't it appear that our adversary only used words to beguile Eve? Leaving me the thought that wanting to know more than man, and GOD is a natural thing for women.

I think privately the issue of child molestation should be addressed, on this topic. I am very surprised how many pastors tell women to remain with their husbands despite the violation to the child and the marriage. I am not saying that in every case there should be a divorce, I firmly believe the man/woman has the right to repent, however most will not admit that he or she has done such an act. There must be a line drawn, and spoken to this issue. Separation is inevitable when this occurs for the sake of the child. It disappoints me when I hear pastors tell the husband/wife that she has no grounds for divorce in such a case, it sounds utterly, insane.

Very, good sermon. I am so very glad that this is available. I whole heartedly agree with your view of the internet. It is called a web for a reason, it has more traps for the believers than we can imagine. The U.S. church needs a correct concept of GOD before the storm of persecution and deception gets any worse. Please, keep preaching this way, please.

This is a very encouraging sermon. I do think that you are correct in saying; "GOD did not tell Job why he was afflicted." GOD showed Job that he was not able to save himself, that he is as we are, helpless, needy, hopeless with out Him. GOD does not always tell, but He surely shows us either through His work, or His word. We often miss it because we are looking in vain, or we go through suffering by grit rather than prayer, rather than as your sermon tells; "Think Magnificently About GOD." Thank-you for giving us a different perspective. In the midst of trials we don't always think right.

I also wanted to tell you; what you have forgotten is the "She who sets on many waters, and the serpent who devours the child." I am a victim of Michigan's foster system(many waters??? could be, not sure) "Bethany Christian Services" is nothing more than the DHS, which is CPS, which is Kid's Hope reading program which is in the schools and it also is CPS. Unless you are aware of the foster system's human trafficking, you don't know the half of what is going on! Believe me, it is time to be tight close to children. I am 56, by the way, and believe me Kent County, in Grand Rapids Michigan's attorneys have a real devil if not Satan's head on their hands.
