Hi Barry, You are totally correct in hitting the point that God speaks to us through His word. One of the best sermons I've ever heard. Why do we end our prayer in Jesus Name? Every spiritual blessing from God we have only through the merits of Jesus Christ. Barry you mention your Prayer Meeting at your house, Your hospitality opens the door of Salvation to many. The Christian home is still one of the best tools for spreading the gospel. Do guests find Christ in your home? Yes. Remember Aquila, and Priscilla. “ Great Sermon! ” Hi Barry, Praise God very touching Sermon and also the apostle John, reminding us that God is Holy. In verse 8 if we say that we have no sin we decevie ourselves and the truth is not in us. God commands us to repend for He is Holy. John wrote this letter to put believers back on track: to show the difference between light and darkness (truth and error) and to encourge the Church to grow in genuine love for God and one another. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life no one comes to the Father except through Me as The Way. Jesus is our path to the Father.
