For the last two weeks we have been in Daniel's third vision. This vision happens in the first year of King Darius, after Daniel understands from the book of Jeremiah that they will be in Babylon for 70 years. As he sees the time approaching, he sets himself to seek God, as God himself had commanded in Jeremiah 29:10-14. God commands them to pray, seeking Him with their whole heart. Daniel does this. He humbles himself with fasting, sack cloth and ashes. He prays as one of Israel, asking for forgiveness for himself and his people. He prays acknowledging God's righteousness in His judgment of Israel and their sinfulness. He asks God to deliver for the sake of God's name. As He prays, God answers quickly sending the angel Gabriel with an answer. In fact this answer is much bigger than what Daniel was praying for. Join us as we look at the answer that comes to Daniel.
